Funny how you say that when most games give you this option on the pc, so I guess all those developers see the benefit of it. Now tell us again why this isn't the case most of the time on consoles?
"If be surprised if they even have any more big aaa games other than forza this gen, given that they said all their 1st party games will be on game pass."
The next Halo is coming this generation and there will be more AAA games as well. I understand it's the cool thing to do and crap all over anything they do or say but to suggest they only have smaller games in the pipe like State of Decay 2 until the next Xbox is ridiculous. What kind of community do we hav...
This is about this years E3, not your PTSD. They still hold your interest otherwise you would not be talking about them so much.
All they need to do is announce some major titles and hope Sony is just going to show already announced games and have Nintendo not have any big surprises. That's it, not too complicated. Sony never stole the show last year and neither did Microsoft, so it's entirely possible Microsoft can if you can see the shows with an open mind.
Nintendo's success has a lot to do with the current hardware, Microsoft can't follow that right now. Nintendo always had compelling software but that didn't help them with the Wii U did it or the Gamecube. The Wii was also successful due to its hardware and look at what happened when Microsoft tried to follow that fad.
Sony is the one who is more aligned with what Microsoft could follow more of, diversity in its software but again you will have two very similar ...
It's good because it has forced Microsoft to be more consumer friendly with their approach to digital refunds, backwards compatibility, allowing other services like EA Access, console crossplay and putting their games on the pc.
Sony on the other hand are showing signs of what we all hated about Microsoft, moneyhatting projects with third party and leveraging third parties to offer exclusive deals, along with blocking console crossplay and other services.
Competition is always welcomed but we need strong competition. Otherwise the leader is less willing to be consumer friendly and less likely to offer any incentive to drop prices. We don't need the leader get too far ahead, otherwise it leads to monopolistic approaches like trying to gobble up third party deals and exclude others.
Even during the PS4's first year it did not have the same attach rate as Switch. Face it, Nintendo always has and always will lead it's hardware with exclusives whereas Sony is much more reliant on third party support. That doesn't mean Sony exclusives are worse, it's just means when consumers go buy Nintendo hardware they do it mainly for Nintendo games. When consumers go buy a PlayStation they do it because of the overall library and media functions it offers.
Good to see, this should highlight why we need variety in the industry and not just chasing the current fad like Battle Royale.
Mario Odyssey is not like Mario Galaxy either. The reason why Nintendo have lasted this long is because they know how to evolve existing franchises much like how God of War evolved. The major difference between Sony and Nintendo is Nintendo can sell hardware based entirely on it's own franchises whereas Sony needs third party much more than they do.
What we are also seeing with Sony is them becoming way too centric in the third person cinematic action game. Yes Dreams i...
It may take a bit more work to get comfortable on the pc but it's well worth it. You also won't be paying for this which likely would come at an additional cost on a console. Which is a rip considering console gamers already pay for online multiplayer and a royalty fee.
Good game but way too short.
That's like saying you can have a game like Surgeon Simulator and a game on Abortion. The fact is Steam is a private company and they have a right to filter out controversial games which this is. Some game designers are clearly making games just for controversy and hey, they have every right to make them and if they want they can publish their own game and release it on their own website.
That's kind of a dumb statement because it then shows the people shouldn't have been allowed to purchase them in the first place. You also neglected to mention often these guns are not being locked away so that the children of the legally owned owner guns are doing their due diligence. Of course you can say it's the responsibility of the guardian but given how easy it is to access them in the first place?
Now tell me again why automatic rifles should even be in ...
This year would mark the 10th anniversary of Fallout 3. I'd like to see another spinoff of New Vegas but I could see a remastered Switch version.
Smells like the 10th anniversary of Fallout 3.
I have yet to play it but it does look like their best work. I'm happy to see Sony have confidence in them to do games they want to do.
I know I'm not going to be part of the cool crowd for saying this but software sales were pretty much even between the PS3 and Xbox 360, so for anyone suggesting hardware sales are bulked up because of RRoD is a misnomer. You're not going to buy the same game twice because your Xbox 360 crapped out. Let me guess, scratched disks are why software sales are the same?
Nintendo is kind of doing the same thing now, putting saves on the cloud but with a major caveat. It's being put behind a paywall.
The irony is the big AAA developers often refuse to make 60fps games on consoles because they know graphics sell and is easier to advertise than faster frame rates.
Well if you can convince me Assassins Creed on your PS4 is a better experience at 30fps than it on a pc at 60fps i'll eat my hat. This isn't about pc elitism, this is ALL about the limitations of the console hardware and they know people like you would rather have fancy graphics than smoother gameplay and that is the choice you've made because you can have both on the pc. Driveclub would be even better if Sony allowed it on the pc. You cannot convince anyone it wouldn't be a b...
