"What purpose does it serve to treat them like a villain without knowing all the details? That's what everyone has done since day one when the Rocket League guy said something, and that was before MS said they were open to it or even had a single cross play game on their system."

What purpose does it serve giving them any benefit of the doubt? By now we accept Sony is not interested in crossplay. What Shawn is alluding to is trying to fix the account locking o...

Yes we need veterans but we also need better managers in charge. There is way too much pressure to get games done at a certain release date and budgets have ballooned out of control. Why do you think we see many big star actors do small movie roles?

She is again highlighting the problem with the big studios and trying to get the game out in time. The veterans are leaving and wanting to work in a normal environment and without the pressure of producing franchises.

"If Sony is looking into it, that's about the best that developers can expect for the time being. Dunno if they really are, or if they're just paying lip service to the criticism, but if they are, then they'll either make it happen, or they'll decide that they don't want to let it happen. They'll likely never issue a statement about it if they don't want it to happen, and probably won't give any meaningful answer why.
I think ...

"Are you suggesting that he’s lying or making it up?
Does Epic have a marketing deal with MS? Does Psyonix? Why is that even part of the discussion?"

You know how it is. They don't like Sony getting bad press so let's talk about our closest competitor. Boys and toys.

Have you heard of Fallout 76? Well we can thank Sony for no crossplay with that game. These developers need to grow a pair and just tell Sony they are being difficult to work with. Ask yourself, is being the leader in sales and controlling third party games actually good for consumers?

Nintendo is the one who actually tries to do 60fps when they can, which astonishes me seeing as how they usually have the weakest system. I hope both Microsoft and Sony start showing more support in this area too. Not all games need to be over 30fps but all games do feel better. AT THE VERY LEAST OFFER 60FPS MODE DEVELOPERS!

"Unlike a one time purchase this is progressive. Its machts nichts. Your program is dying."

Then I guess in your fantasy GT Sport is a dead format and a terrible model. They are giving items away for free and PUBG has 10 times the amount of people and makes money off of microtransactions too just like Fortnite.

Your hyperbole is hilarious all in an attempt to make PUBG look bad because it's a console exclusive. You may pretend you're a P...

I could see Google making deals right now with third party publishers like Ubisoft. This would also serve the mobile space. So many here get sucked into the vacuum of just the consoles. Consoles might reach 200 million people, how many are already in the mobile space? So if you can stream high quality gaming from their end the possibilities are quite astounding.

Once it takes off there will be a battleground with third party and Google has the money to invest themselves if ...

The truth is we are seeing more and more veterans leave the AAA business, it's just to political and cutthroat. Too much pressure to hit release dates and not enough freedom. Naughty Dog are one of the top developers in the world but they've been known to work to the bone with long hours. The two head people at Naughty Dog (one has now left) likely had their own vision and she respectfully left. You can also tell the pressure to keep delivering hits, this whole generation they have no...

You're right, it is BS that Sony barely responds.

"They most certainly got spanked. PUBG was the top game until Fortnite knocked it off the throne."

How do you get knocked off anything when you have 87 million people playing your game DAILY? It's just so amusing seeing the worst of Sony fans continue to side with Fortnite like as though it means something at the end of the day. Some of you guys are just way over the top and can't seem to live in a world where two competitors can both do well. Nope, one mu...

Not surprised at all with your response.

"It is plaguing the companies that are unable to leech off their player base."

Actually it could very well be the other way around. Someone could have started playing on mobile or the pc and even bought stuff there but as long as they play just once on PSN Sony forbids them to then be able to play that account on Switch or Xbox One. Sony could be leeching ...

PUBG has a daily total of 87 million active players, which was posted a week ago. Spanked by Epic? Days after Epic announced they have 125 million total players PUBG announced they sold 50 million copies and if you include PUBG Mobile, they have over 400 million registered players world-wide, with over 87 million of them playing PUBG every single day.

Can you be anymore hyperbolic? My goodness what is it with some of the members here.
