WickedLester, as a show Sony was flat. I have a PS4 and while I look forward to all of those games to me Sony is coming across as very cocky. They just didn't put much effort into E3. There is more talk about the whole Fortnite controversy going on than their E3 show and their response to that is also showing tons of arrogance.

Two things really killed any chances of Sony winning this E3.

One is they have been showing games way too early for years and last year and this year it's very noticeable they are winding down with new announcements in preparation for the PS5.

Two is Sony has too many conferences per year which thins out the content and removes the lack of surprises.

Not everyone likes any game so it's kind of a moot point. Spiderman looks excellent and it's going to be a big hit. The gameplay looks great and will be a must buy for me since I also enjoyed the Batman games as well.

There is no reason to start all over if we don't have to, we see that same design with PC gaming. We're already seeing the Xbox One X distance itself with the Xbox One S with games like Forza Horizon 4. What PS4 Pro 1st party game with multiplayer allows 60 frames per second while the regular PS4 has 30 frames? If the power is there you shouldn't be holding back the system just to be at parity online.

When you compare monthly prices Now is a lot more money and when if ever Sony decides to put their new games on it then it will be game over, until then it's just an inferior experience from severe input lag to compressed video. If this is true that they will allow downloading then it just proves Sony could do emulation all along and just didn't want to out of pure greed.

This is why Phil came out on stage to provide confidence they are still making consoles and even then we have articles like this. Shawn Layden also confirmed in 2017 that they are indeed coming out with a PS5, so it's all irrelevant because we all knew they are always working behind the scenes on new hardware, what we don't know is exactly when.

That's it, yet we still see the same people arguing over their toys prepping themselves years away from the next generatio...
