I wonder what the subscription cost will be?
Price of the system in the UK?
I doubt people will go for this if they have to both pay a monthly fee of like $20 and pay for their games.
If it doesn't run perfect and provide the same level of quality as a PC then people won't want to pay for all of that.
If your internet goes down or slows down then the big AAA PC games either won't be accessible or they will run very poorly and frame...
Very true, the level of dimensionality to the game isn't there, it's a cartoony style, which isn't hard to make it look like it has spectacle too it.
The textures look clear, but aren't the best I've seen. The best thing about it seems to be the lighting, pretty vibrant.
There's a very serious lack of environmental effects though, like the air lacks substance, not really seeing any particle effects in play.
Looks nice,...
Gorgeous!
@q8kik: Santa Monica, much like a number of Sony's other studios help out with games from external studios, but they're still a AAA studio.
The kind of thing I'm talking about is basically having Sony recruit whole small, indie studios, buy them up basically to be exclusive studios for Sony.
In other words indies becoming Sony owned studios. Sony could make that into an indie division, that gets support from Sony and the whole network of indie studios.
I think Sony should create an exclusive indie division, to buy those studios, help support and develop them like they have with Media Molecule.
Housemarque would be a great studio to start with IMO, assuming they want to join worldwide studios.
@Dark: Reviews are always going to be subjective, because their based on the individual reviewer's opinions of a thing.
Draw distance is a limit of the hardware, not necessarily the fault of the developer, if they knocked down the overall graphical quality to get a bigger draw distance then people would nitpick that.
Whether a game deserves a 10 or whether any game is worthy of that kind of score is down to the individual reviewing the title.

Great list, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted 4 and Tearaway Unfolded are the major ones I'm looking forward too.
I've never played a Persona or Souls game (haven't played Tearaway on Vita, but I love Media Molecule's work), but I definitely want to give P5 and Bloodborne a go, they look awesome!
R&C is the major one I'm looking forward too.
You absolutely cannot say the same for Sony, they have way more big exclusives coming:
1)The Order just landed, 2)Bloodborne is up next month, 3)Ratchet & Clank, 4)Until Dawn, 5)Uncharted 4, 6)Dragon Quest Heroes, which is now a PS4 exclusive in the west.
7)Deep Down, 8)Let it Die, 9)Drawn to Death, 10)Fat Princess Adventures, 11)Killstrain, 12)Tearaway Unfolded.
Persona 5 may be a cross gen, but that's a massive deal!

@Mega24: I totally agree about Knack, it was very much like a modern day Crash in the gameplay IMO, only way more varied, that also has plenty of potential for future games like The Order.
Killzone SF is also very much underrated IMO. Bloodborne is next month, Ratchet & Clank shouldn't be too far off, same goes for Tearaway Unfolded and the Vita game was very highly regarded, the PS4 game looks to be even better, but many haters play those kinds of games down because ...
Me too, the market's still there, so it would make sense for Sony to make anther handheld in the future.
Vita would have been fine and sold much better if Sony hadn't used expensive custom memory cards or reduced the support for big exclusives.
Proper marketing, price point, the right kinds of games for the handheld market and sales will come.
I wonder if the retail model will be shown on Monday?
No one wants to see the game in action more than me, but I think this Friday thing is just for the Movie:

Insomniac Games may wait until GDC to show the game off or just put out a random trailer for the game once the marketing for the movie starts rolling out.
@Joda: All of those games have sold very well, been enjoyed by numerous gamers, you really can't please everyone.
IMO and many others those games you listed (besides TO1886 & DC, which I haven't yet played) are awesome.
Shu is responsible for Sony's 3rd party relations being what they are today, he was the spearhead responsible for creating relationships with the likes of Square, konami and others putting their games on PS1, he's also the ...
Cerny was the architecture man of this generation, Shu was the man to steer the direction of Sony's exclusives, if it wasn't for him then I don't think Sony wouldn't be as exclusives focused like they are.
Shu's the man that makes sure we get the exclusives, the head honcho at world wide studios.
Overall though Playstation is the responsibility of House, but all parties play their part in making Playstation what it is, even Kaz Hirai!
Dark Chronicle was re-trademarked last year, maybe it's that.
A lot of people seem to think Level 5 will announce a new White Knight Chronicles at E3 this year.
@Death "You guys are assuming they are looking to make more games. You need to invest money for that and the end goal in increased revenue and profit."
Not really, you can do it by spending your money more wisely.
Doing like Ninja Theory, using a portion of your studio's manpower to make smaller budget projects, that don't require as big of an investment and the studio increases it's overall productivity.
Look at a studio like Me...
The article actually says it's £270 after the discount.
Use the code FEBDEAL10% on http://www.rakuten.co.uk/sh...
The code gives you 10% off of £300, which equals £270 after the discount.
Pretty good price, I'd rather it be that price, for the console and an XB1 exclusive, since I buy all of my multiplats ...
Definitely, it's selling amazingly even with games many people claim aren't that compelling, this year's line-up utterly destroys 2013-2014, if people think PS4 sold well since launch off of the back of launch price and those games, then they're going to be in for a major shock once the big guns and a price drop happens.
I wouldn't be shocked if PS4 hits 40 million by the end of 2015.
Yeah I mean Uncharted 2 & 3 sold over 6 million per release on PS3, it's a franchise that's been on the rise for sales with every sequel on the PS3 and PS4 is selling 2X as fast as PS3, so expecting the franchise to sell 3.5M more on it's 1st release on PS4 isn't ridiculous, in fact I think it's likely Uncharted could double in sales per release on PS4 compared to what PS3 managed.
It's doubtful Uncharted 4 would be the only exclusive on current ge...
It's meant for all people that have a modern TV, so you can play anything you could play on PC and android games, but yeah requiring another subscription to use the big gaming GRID stuff isn't going to be for everyone.
Pretty small HDD too, that model only has 16GB, I wonder if you can plug in an external HDD? If so that kind of ruins the form factor being so small.
