Yet they still have to market the games they're still to release like The Last of Us Part 2, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, Dreams and Concrete Genie.
E3 simply isn't needed anymore and it's a fixed event, which not where Sony did their reveal for PS4.

Sony wouldn't go a whole year without giving new details on all of their major upcoming, massive investments in PlayStation.
The tech is ready for PS5 and Next-XBox in 2019, t...

It just makes sense, for all the reasons I put in my post below.

Technology will be ready for a 2019 launch, games will certainly be ready for then too.
2019 will also be 6 years after the launch of PS4 and XB1, which fits with the majority of Sony's console generation lengths.

2020 and 2021 don't gain Microsoft or Sony anything from either a cost or performance standpoint.

Ryzen is ready for 7nm in mass production APUs, along with Navi GPU tech in the middle of 2019.

The demand is c...

XB1-X still has an AMD Jaguar CPU, which will not be fast enough for next gen games when Devs are building them with Ryzen architecture in mind, it's just so much more capable.

X won't be compatible with next gen exclusive games.
The GPU may be good enough, but the CPU won't.
RAM will likely be an issue too, given the kinds of speeds modern tech can achieve.

Maybe Microsoft will do better next generation, but it's not like they've completely wiped away the last 5 years of completely losing to Sony.
Even without the major blunders that were the start of the XB1's life on the market they've consistently lacked in unique software for their platform compared to PS4.
Sony pushed for great quality over everything with their major exclusives, even the lesser ones still have a lot of appeal.

The lack o...

Spidey has awesome gameplay, with a wide variety of ways to traverse the world, combat and so on.

GoW is the exact opposite of what you wrote, I'm fighting Drauger, huge Trolls, each with varying differences, then up comes Witches, funky floating bomb enemies, The Stranger, different types of trolls that are very unique.
Then there's the most unique Dragon I've ever faced in a game, I've only been playing the game for maybe a few hours, oh yeah ther...

Spiderman is definitely a looker, even on the base PS4 and to think that it's an open world game it just adds to the challenge the Devs faced in making such a game happen.

I have a copy of Detroit, but haven't got around to installing it yet.
God of War is the best looking game I've personally played this generation, it's insane how amazing that game looks, along with the awesome combat, amazing puzzles, it's just phenomenal IMO.

I managed to get 12 months of Gamepass for £47.99 from Amazon UK, got my XBox One for £189.99 with the full Fortnite Digital Code and a physical copy of FH4, the boxes includes a month of GP and a month of Live.

GP was a great deal, for the price of a little over one new game here in England I can play everything that comes to the service, great value.

Installed on my Xbox, ready to give it a try later when I get home.

I don't know much about InXile, but yeah Playground Games, Obsidian and Ninja Theory are certainly A quality studios, not sure about the new team or teams at Playground Games, though their Forza team has been highly capable from day one.

The B tier studios that have just joined Microsoft Studios would be Compulsion and Undead Labs, those can become more, but they'd need further incubation and resources to improve.

I'm pretty sure the 360/PS3 versions only used like 8GBs, an improved version somewhere between those systems and the PS4/XB1 game would probably fit fine on a Switch game card.

Rockstar could certainly port a version to Switch or outsource it to a good porting house to make a quality conversion for Switch.

It'll easily top 90 million come January 1st, judging by how well things like the Spidey PS4 slim sold, the Red Dead Pro one was sold fast during Black Friday too.

100 million could be pretty easy by Fall next year.

It's a brilliant game, a lovely experience that I'll definitely revisit in the future.

Ashen is good, from the bit of time I played of it, about an hour.
Little Souls like, but with it's own flavor.

Below looks good from the stream shown recently.

Gamepass is great IMO, nice variety of great games on there for brilliant value.

Well types of games will vary, so the revenue paid to other content providers will also vary based on what games cycle in and out of Gamepass.

Prior to these recent BF deals I had no plans to buy an XB1, but Gamepass certainly factored into me buying mine, I'm sure many decided to buy into Gamepass because of the value it offers them and that just means more people will be adding to the Subscription Revenue MS brings in from GP.

What matters most from...

It depends entirely on the the number of people that subscribe to Gamepass.
Supposedly it's millions, so at least 2 million people, but how many are paying, who knows.

Too me it's a no brainer for new XB1 owners to get it, because most of the XB1 games are on it and I managed to get a great deal for 12 months worth.

The revenue paid to 3rd party publishers may depend on how many people play their games on it or a set amount of money per s...

Just started to download this to my One-S, looks cool.
Bit similar to Souls, but with a unique art style.

Too many games to play, too little time!

The lead character reminds me of the Journey guy, this gives me warm vibes.

Can't believe it's supposedly been mainly developed with 2 guys.
I'm interested to see more of this game.

Phil's been in a genuine position of power over Microsoft Studios for at least 10 years, when he became boss of that division in 2008, it seems more that the higher ups didn't like the direction XBox was going after the backlash of the XBox One's launch.

After seeing how Sony and Nintendo have prioritized allowed developers freedom to create, with proper funding they may have finally cottoned on to what's needed to get some forward momentum in the market. ...

@andibandit: It's all relevant, it's about every network, not exactly like it would take anyone very long to read my original post that you're commenting on.

Issues could be related to broadband speed or whatever technical aspect of the network, I gave examples of my experience which shows how things were for me at the time.

I'm not sure why it's such an issue for me to provide real information about my experience.
