You're right. Review scores are screwing everything up.
However, I think the 8/10 and 9/10 scores are absolutely wrong. There are a lot of issues plaguing Enslaved that would have given it a 6/10 or 7/10 score but for SOME reason reviewers gloss over these issues.
Ninja Theory + Devil May Cry = boisterous claims that it will match God of War 3's graphics but will ultimately fail.

In the same way, PS3 gamers have seen what the PS3 can do. There's no reason why we shouldn't point that out.

No FPS on 360 looks better than Killzone 2, no TPS on 360 loooks better than Uncharted 2, no "cartoony" game looks better than Ratchet and Clank, no racing game looks better than GT5, no 3rd-person action game looks better than God of War, no open-world game looks better than inFamous, etc.

Enslaved has the better atmosphere and plot, but Castlevania is more varied and challenging.
But let's consider other 3rd-person games this year like God of War 3, Mass Effect 2, and Vanquish.
I always enjoy Kojima's games, so I can't wait to see what new tricks he pulls.
