Both Resistance games are underrated gems. I really hope R3 turns out well and that it gets the attention it deserves.
But Halo Reach at the #1 spot? GTFO. Where's Half Life 2 and Portal?
I have higher hopes for Castlevania. Enslaved is good, but it falls short. You like jumping and platforming? Uncharted and Mario Galaxy are better. You like melee combat? Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, and God of War III are better. You like cover systems and 3rd-person shooters? Try Gears of War.
Enslaved is the poster child for "jack of all trades, king of none"
This review isn't out until next year.
And Move does impress. It's a few of the games that are terrible (like Sports Champions, IMO)
This sucks for two reasons:
One, I was really looking forward to playing it this year.
Two, based on what we've seen, LBP2 is a serious GotY contender, but games released at the beginning of the year tend to be forgotten.
LBP is essential. It has shown console gamers that mods are important.
Well no duh they're not done with it.
But what remains to be seen is if they can keep the quality of the series up.
Wait, so all those joke comments from Halo haters about "Halo Kart" were right all along?
Plot twist...
Most of these games aren't even out yet.
I'm getting Eyepet, which is creepy but the wife wants it so too bad for me.
Halo defined video game marketing. It proved you can spend money on marketing instead of developing (*cough*graphicsinHalo3*cough* ) and sell even more!
It did not define anything else.
This one should have been on the list:
"Shooting people"
I'm sick of being the one-man army. I just want to be a soldier in peace-time! I want to sit on an Army base, collect my salary, and go home after my enlistment is up. After all, people are saying they want more realistic military shooters...
Awww nice!
Mario Paint says hi.
I simply cannot understand why a gamer would not own a PS3 right now in light of all the exclusives out and coming out.
The game takes a lot of gameplay from Uncharted (not a bad thing). There's a TON of platforming and cinematic scenes.
It's basically Uncharted 1 with focus on melee instead of guns, graphics as good as Uncharted 1 but NOT as good as U2, and a lush post-apocalyptic style that's actually quite nice.
I'm no feminist, but it's ironic that they say "despite stereotypes" and then come out with a list full of cutesy, girly, or casual-friendly games. I'm pretty sure women love all kinds of games.
Pirate Thom:
Ah, got it. I see what you're saying.
That's really cool, but I think I can be patient enough to just play it in a week.
That's really cool. It shows that graphics are important for gameplay, after all.
Just about confirmed? I wouldn't count on that. Their comment is boilerplate in these situations.
LBP2 would be a perfect Christmas game to bring in more people to the PS3.
Yes, it has a bit of the above games, but in a crappy way.
