Kinect will sell. Microsoft's investors will be happy.
I've seen this said over and over again, but "gamers will be happy" and "there will be a lot of hardcore games for it" are strangely absent. Why?
Now Bungie needs to start banning all the people using aim-bots and hacks. Otherwise, Reach will become exactly like Halo 2 and Halo 3 turned out.
I remember this game from years ago. It still looks neat, but sadly the concept is no longer as clever as it once was.
If it's all that great, we shouldn't have to 'understand' it. It should be apparent why it's so great.
Arguably, COD runs better on PS3. While it does have glitches common to all versions, it doesn't have hacks like most online Xbox Live games do.
Things will get ugly in November?
When GT5 comes out?
Huh?
I'm interested what is "core" about inaccurately waving your arms around?
In what Twilight Zone: Gamer's Edition episode do hardcore gamers WANT to have less accuracy, worse response time, worse graphics, worse gameplay, and fewer control inputs?
Simple math:
It has been nearly 5 years since the 360 launched. Assuming you did not have any interruptions with your Xbox Live subscription (like a RRoD), that would be roughly $200-$250.
And what do gamers have to show for that money? Nothing. Think of all the games, Microsoft points, peripherals you could have bought, or heck you could have bought a Wii. That $250 went straight into Microsoft's pocket.
Too much variety and too long are the complaints I've heard.
What's the deal?
It always puzzled me why Uncharted had a T rating when Halo had an M rating. Uncharted has always had more mature content as far as blood and innuendo. Halo has crayola crayon blood.
This is actually pretty huge. FIFA is incredibly popular.
...and it's being remastered exclusively for PS3.
I don't want to base my opinion on just a demo, but I think the media is being FAAAAR too lenient with this game.
1. The platforming is simplistic. That would be points marked off on any other game.
2. The combat is simplistic. That would be points marked off on any other game.
3. The animations are clunky. That would be points marked off on any other game.
Now, I'm not saying Enslaved is a bad game. I just get irrita...
The GBA and DS Castlevanias are some of the best Castlevania games on the market.
It's not just gamers from Console A against gamers from Console B.
It's also gamers from both A and B refusing to believe what the manufacturers of console A or B are trying to shove down our throat through PR quotes and advertisement.
There are people who - for some crazy reason - simply don't like PC. I guess everyone has their likes and dislikes, but PC has such a mind-blowing number of amazing games, it would make a console fanboy weep while curled up into the corner.
I've gamed on the PC since the days of MS-DOS and PC has never once let me down. There are always great games to play.
I have the boardgame version, and it really is a fantastic game. It's a nice mix of strategy and puzzle.
Xbox Live is not the hook it once was.
"First Vanquish review"
I'd like to see more before I believe the first review. Not sayign this game will be bad. I'm sure it will be awesome.
Although this list certainly did leave out some great games, and I completely disagree with their #1 choice (hype train), I am pleased that they decided to included PC, Wii, and DS games as well. Most "Best exclusives" lists don't do that.
