rome, edo japan, ancient egypt, american war of independence, Arabian Spain. Pick any three from those eras and jumble them together and make a huge game. Just a thought.
I had a discussion with friends shortly after finishing revelations and we all hoped and agreed that the next one would incorperate multiple era's. Imagine it like Majoras mask where an occurance in one era affected the other.
Slow zombies with scarce ammo = horror. Don't make it too fast paced. I'm sure some people can agree with what im on about.
No, I've been gaming for years and if you consider the amount of quality core games available across all platforms then gamers have never had it better.
And to disagree with Mr Wiggle. The mainstream casual thing started with Playstation. Before Playstation it really was a geeky pass time. Then Sony came out with edgy branding and having gaming pods in nightclubs. Look at how big the Playstation and Playstation 2 catalogues were and you'll find a lot of casual stuff a...
Bubble for making me laugh
Just in case anyone mistakingly interprets an 80/100 as sarcastic I'd like to point out it is very, very good. Well done!
The fact that UC3 score is an issue speaks volumes. Seriously, can't people talk about why they like a game and not about what someone else thinks of it? (someone they will never meet). Besides that an 8 is very good, a 9 is excellent and a 10 is unmissable. Thats how I interpret the numbers anyway. So basically UC3 got an 8 and people who havent even played it (im in the UK and I dont have my copy yet) take issue with a very good score. Maybe I'm old but I long for the days when we t...
FM towns Marty or MSX too. Both those and the PC-FX are way more obscure then the Virtual Boy or Wondermega.
Hmmmm... No NEC PC-FX. It was the follow up to the PC engine and debuted at the end of 94 around the same time as the Saturn and Playstation. I know because I had one but only because my family used to sell Japanese imports.
The reply cam uses the same camera angles as the tv show. I couldn't understand why they didn't do this on GT5. Plus it's in a KIA c'eed and hopefully they'll have the previous show cars too. Also the grass looks better. Everything seems more shaded. I've put alot more time into Gt5 than forza 3. Was always drawn more to gt because of it's pedigree but this looks superb. Definitely getting it.
I'm lucky enough to own only LBP off of the list so I'm not too annoyed at the offer but I can understand someone who is very loyal too sony by buyin all of those games actually feelin left out. I cant wait to see whats offered in Japan an HK. I have a UK,US,HK and JAP accounts on my ps3.
Mass Effect 2 for me but other notable mentions are RDR, Galaxy two and F1 2010. I know F1 2010 want come up in many peoples lists but despite the bugs doing a long race with no assists is hardcore racing at its best. I liked GOW3 but like alot of games this gen it was one I completed and put back on my shelf and there it still sits. Mass Effect 2, RDR and even brotherhood had alot of depth for me.
Actually I think it came out in the UK on the 22nd of november. I'm sure thats when I got mine and in the US it was a fortnight or so earlier. Thats just off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure Amazon delivered mine in November. I think japan may have had it in December. UK and US in november with the US first.
Until someone manages to simulate the effects of G force on the body even the best racing games (GT5 included) aren't going to be close to the real thing. Even with a good wheel theres a big difference between a game and the real thing but a wheel makes a game alot more fun.
I know. One thing I am hoping for is an interactive garage like from the PGR series. You could walk around and look at the cars in your collection. If he can at least implement something like that I'll be happy.
Exactly. I have both and I think the driving in GT5 is brilliant and I'm really enjoying working my way through the challenges but I haven't done anything on GT5 that made me think Forza is a piece of crap in comparison because it isn't. In fact I'm glad Forza has kept me enrertained for a year waiting for GT5 to arrive. I see it like this, two great games with a different selection of curcuits.
I have both and they're both great. It is possible to love other driving games too you know.
GT5 Cars do look better until something casts a shadow on a wing mirror or a spoiler. The shadows are so low res its like a combination of PS3 top end graphics cut with ZX spectrum shadows.
Yeah. I would have prefered the engine to be more consistant. The Rome Circuit and London look great but then you see a replay and all the faults jump out at you. Some of the Karting circuits look bland and lifeless with flat textures and very noticeable pop up. Its like from a totally different game. Its a myth this gen that above all else a game must be HD to look good. Image quality with a rock solid and consistent engine first I say.
Gaming droid hasn't gamed long enough to experience turning their playstaion on its side to play discs properly or having their PS2 decide to not play at all. I put up with this because I realise shit goes wrong and thats why we have guarantees (this despite the fact I've always bought imported playstations and domestic ones later) My 360 failed and it was replaced for free. My PS3 failed and I replaced it at cost. I'm not bitter and your free to search my comments to see if I har...
