Usually reading the review will give you a good idea of whether its good or not.
I read a while back in a 'making of' article that combos in Street Fighter 2 where a glitch. They occured by complete accident even though the programmers never intended for it to happen. Being able to link a heavy punch with an immediate dragon punch and the rest was never intended to happen. They dicscovered it and decided to keep it in. So sometimes glitches can be good.
Two Betrayals too but Attack on the Control room had the segment where you got to pick up troops with the tank. Keeping them alive was good. Awesome game. Im gonna replay it to remind myself
Over the next two weeks I'm gonna try and replay everything before reach arrives. This has got me all nostalgic.
What was so great about it was how you could tackle it in any number of ways. One of the things that has always stood out with Halo is the ammount of strategy you can use to manipulate how the game goes. I completed C.E on legendary but have only done 2, 3 and ODST on heroic. The following games were great but not as compulsive. By no means great but worth mentioning is the Library. On legendary that level was awesomely difficult. There is a point where you are trapped in a room and have to w...
Truth and Reconciliation and Assault on the Control Room are my faves. Thank god the library wasn't mentioned.
You can romance jack quite early on if you choose renegade comments when you speak to her then your free to romance miranda later on. I did this and after id completed the main mission and carried on playing I dumped miranda and romanced Tali. In Mass Effect 3 my shepard will be visiting a clinic and Ashley will come back and kick my butt.
Definately need to upgrade. Still have a 60gb launch machine. Can someone help me out. What can I use to back up my data before I install a new Hdd? I know I can use an external hard drive but whats the cheapest way to do it if you dont have an external hdd?
Ive ordered GT5 from amazon but I also enjoy Forza 3 because despite it not being GT it is a decent game.
Lets face facts. To anyone who is familiar with GT they know what to expect. I'm expecting a driving simulator with huge attention to detail. Like GT1-4 except better, bigger and more detailed. I'm not expecting huge surprises. This is the one reason why it may not get a 10 like the first one did because even if it is amazing at the end of the day its just a super detailed and comprehensive driving simulator. Its not gonna be a game changer like the first one but I am hoping it is up ...
Theres a simple reason why so many people make a big deal of GT5s delay...Its because its one of the bigest franchises ever. Regardless of when it was officially announced its been expected since the PS3 was revealed. When I downloaded GTHD in 2007 I was expecting GT5 to be about a year away. Its not like anyone is picking on Polyphony for the delay its just hugely anticipated. In between that I've been playing PGR4, GT5p and Forza 3 which I enjoy but I expect GT5 to be better... and the ...
Just to add to your point regarding artstyle etc. Okami is another game that isn't technically masterful but is very pretty and dare I say it as good looking as many HD blockbusters despite originating on the PS2. Great artists dont need bleeding edge tecnology to make a great looking game. If your playing it and your enjoying it thats what counts. If your playing it and your thinking 'hey look at the texture resolution' then it probably isn't a brilliant game to begin with an...
Exactly what I was thinking. I've got a japanese copy of r1 that I got with my machine at launch and never even bothered completing it. I've enjoyed Ridge 7 more and that was a launch title. Other launch titles I'd put waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of resistance that you haven't mentioned are Ridge Racer for the PS1 which was absolutely amazing back in late 1994 and Super Monkey ball on the Gamecube which was wicked fun with friends and enough pads.
It could be a huge problem. Imagine your typical open air market where its easy to find counterfeit goods and they'll be some guy offering backups. Just take your prepped and ready usb stick along and handover the cash. Or this could lead to ps3 being able to play backed up discs.
Yes Sony was hit hard by piracy for the psp but look at the ps1 and ps2. I'm convinced that they sold in such huge numbers because software became easy to pirate. The hacked psp requires some degree of tech savvy to take advantage of it which is why i dont think its affected sales hugely. Piracy makes sales of hardware shoot up.Its very sad but possibly true the same could now happen to the Ps3 for all the wrong reasons. One thing I can point out to support this possibility is the fact th...
Has anyone here actually read the article? From what I can comprehend the author writes that 3d has a future but not so soon after HD has just become commonly adopted. Seems a reasonable point to make. Some people here have just read the headline and jumped to Sonys defence like its their mother. Sad!
edit:I was one of the first among my friends to buy a HDTV. I even had a DVD player in 1998 but I'm not planning on purchasing a 3dtv for a good while. I think 3ds will be...
It doesn't need it but I can't say some people may be missin out. I like a few have mentioned created different save files prior to ME2 landing to play through. From that I've got a few save files of ME2 stocked up for 3. It really is addictive for that 'what if?' element. There are a few key moments in 1 that keep dragging you back such as Wrex, Ashley and Kayden, how you finish the game etc. Whilst many have mentioned it doesn't have a massive effect on gameplay from...
If many of the comments on here are to believed this is the most ridiculous thing ever because every PS3 owner has already bought this on PC anyway...apparently. I loved this game so much that I may buy it again if there is sufficient bonus material but I also expect it to be cheap (£25-£30 on release).
true regarding the delays to europe but it isn't half as bad as it once was. A year to 18 months even for high profile mainstream games wasn't uncommon. Nowadays most games come out the same time with only the odd niche cult games like the ones you've mentioned plus kenzan and yakuza 3 getting a delay. It isnt as bad as it once was. At one time importing was the only choice if you wanted to play games.
First got an imported Playstation in december 94 and to me it is the biggest generational leap there has been in gaming, I think only Mario 64 ame close. I was only 14 but my brothers who were older were blown away by it too. Ridge Racer and Crime crackers (awful at the time but still played it to death) were the first games we had followed by toshinden and Motor toon Gp a month or so later. Even the Saturn was a huge leap at that time. For me the mid nineties were a golden age. Ridge Racer w...
