Glad I live in the UK because I slightly prefer the UK box art. I'm looking forward to this game as I enjoyed fahrenheit (its the one Xbox original that i've downloaded) so Heavy Rains boxart would not have influenced my purchase but I did have some issues with it. You can get caught up in doing some seriously mundane things such as 'take the milk from the fridge, drink milk, replace milk' It was almost like the game designers were over reaching in trying to make it involving. It felt like so...

Get it hooked up you'll probably never look back. Everything that I have goes through my reciever including satelite tv. I cant watch or play anything without it.

edit. Reply was meant for Psycho360

Agree with you on the graphics don't make a game count but I can't agree with you on the better console sentiment (for any console). A console is only as good as the game that you are playing on it. PS2 had many fine games but I couldn't play halo on it and the Gamecube had its fair share of unmissable games too.

Just a query regarding what some people say is uncompressed audio on PS3. I play guitar and when I ever do a recording on my multitrack a 10 minute two track recording can be about 150 mb. When its a full band recording with multiple tracks for drums, bass, vocals added plus eq and effects that could be over two gigabyte. After I mix it to a WAV file it becomes about 100 mb. I then put it on a disc load it onto my pc, rip it and it becomes an MP3 that is small enough for me to email. Going b...

T too buy most multiplats for 360 the exceptions being Resident Evil 5 because I just didn't like the screen tearing on the 360 demo, Mirrors edge because of extra content, Assassins Creed 2 (first one I got on 360) because of unlockables with the PSP game and Street Fighter 4 because I have two Virtua Fighter high grade sticks and I can probably add Final Fantasy 13 to that list too. I agree with you a little, its not because of the disc swap but because its Final Fantasy and after all these...

Seriously. I have a 360 and a PS3 (and a Wii) and I've had both since they were launched. The 360 is a UK launch machine and the PS3 is a Jap 60gb machine and I can not for the life of me get what fanboys see half the time. The performance difference between the 360 and PS3 isn't half as pronounced as it has been in previous generations. Anyone old enough to remember seeing Ridge Racer on PS for the first time? or even Virtua Fighter 3tb on a newly imported Dreamcast when Tekken 3 was the clo...

Very disappointed if this turns out to be true. I can't imagine Sony trying to delay it strategically because after all, this is Gran Turismo. It would sell at any time it came out. It must need work.

Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Mad World are just a few games that casual gamers would have trouble getting into but I do agree with you slightly. My Wii is usually played when there are guests visiting on games like Mario and Sonic and Wii Sports(Mario and Sonic is really good with lots of people) and HOTD Overkill is the most expletive laden game that i can remember playing. Its not just purely casual games on the Wii. But, I still play on 360 and PS3 more

Its January. Instead of thinking what is going to be GOTY now why dont people go through 12 months, play what ever games they want, have fun and not start a fight about it. I've got a bad feeling that Reach and GOW 3 is gonna get real ugly on these pages all year. I hope there are many people like me here, people who are just happy to be able to enjoy them both. In the meantime I'm looking forward to Mass effect 2 but I'm not thinking about GOTY contenders. Why should I? Its not gonna help my...

Good point. In this day and age it seems games with a solid online multiplayer have legs to keep going for months and months. I'm going to enjoy playing both of them. For me now, UC2 hasn't had nearly as much playtime as Halo 3 or sf4 but I cant honestly say its a worse game for it. And before anyone points it out, yes I have played uc2 online but didn't get into it as much as with some other games. This is why I think multiplayer centric gaming and episodic content is going to be the future ...

'But honestly it will fall upon deaf ears with fanboys and I know this from experience!'

I think you maybe right, unfortunately :)

My 360 broke just after four years and MS replaced it. No big headache, It cost £80, less than a new replacement (why do so many people on here claim to have bought 3,4 or even 5 machines when I got mine replaced quite painlessly?). This is why I can't understand why people on this forum go on about it so much. My PS3 is a 60gb Japanese launch machine and it is still running but the fan is alot louder then it used to be so I'm treating it with the utmost kindness because it was never cov...

Agreed shichiro, it is annoying when people present their oppinions as fact. My opinion, a Controller is only as good as the game that you are playing it with and a console is only as good as the game you are playing on it. everyone is free to disagree. PS3 Kicks butt for playing UC2, Halo 3 is awesome on 360 and nothing comes close to Mario Galaxy except on the Wii. Games are for fun and passing the time. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and no one should have to apologise for having one. ...

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. I've been heavily into gaming since the days of the snes and master system and have owned every major machine and some that are less so like the 3do and Neo Geo AES. Whatever these sales figures are it should never diminish the enjoyment you get from playing games... why else would you play games? It should be about enjoyment and not rabid fanboy wars that people discuss. I blame the internet where maybe now one in three gamers is a 'journalist'...

You actually bought three? You didn't take any back for a replacement you actually bought three consoles!?

5884d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

What about replacement consoles? They aren't bought in a shop MS ships you a replacement either free of charge or for a fee. When it happened to me a short while ago I entertained the idea of buying a new one but it was cheaper to pay MS to fix it. I didn't buy another 360 so it shouldn't show up in these figures... surely. MS would have to sell me a new one and allow me to keep the old one for that to be the case. I imagine in most cases that its cheaper to have MS fix your machine rather th...

My 360 broke a short while ago after four years of service and MS replaced it for £80. Surely that can't count as a sale? And to echo what DEMON5500 said does it actually matter? as long as you are enjoying the software that you get to play all of this is nonsense.

I can't imagine anyone uses sold to consumer figures because they would never be able to keep track. There are lots of independent stores and stock is purchased from the manufacturer which in reason anyone would class as a sale. If the machines never sold at retail then stores wouldn't buy more stock from the manfacturer. I seriously doubt sony or anyone knows sold to consumer figures but you could get pretty close to it by seeing how much retailers buy because if they didn't sell them they w...

In game music. Its a nice feature on the 360. Never on the first play through (then I like to play it as the developer wanted) but second time around its always interesting to have the cheesiest least appropriate music playing in the background (MW2 With the Benny Hill show theme tune) Its just a nice feature to have that can be very suited to racing games. Would be very nice to have it in GT5. Its good to drive to ZZ Top or Jimi Hendrix or whatever floats your boat.

I have extremely fond memories of Goldeneye but I played it recently and the controls whilst perfect at the time just dont translate well to anyone who is used to any modern FPS. The little yellow directional buttons on an n64 pad worked well then but today it gives me motion sickness because i'm now used to using twin sticks. But at the time Goldeneye was the best but like many 3d games from the late nineties it had dated terribly. Unfortunately I was the only person who had an xbox so Halo ...
