I don't think the writing was that bad. There were some cringey clips, but it wasn't as bad in context. It's not great by any means, not really worth writing home about. I think the bigger issue was the games lack of direction. Has a lot of elements that works quite well, but it's all just thrown haphazardly together without much thought. Feels like they ran out of time before they had figured out what they wanted to make.
Two of the biggest games of 2023 were political by most gamers standard. So I don't really think that's the issue.
Also, gamers complain that Intergalactic is political while it isn't. Unless politics is when shaved head.
The stupid thing was that the digital version was on sale for a limited time.
Some are looking for any excuse to complain. There's money in the grift.
Woke is when female character, pronoun or gay character. That's when hundreds of similar youtube videos gets shat out.
Youtube videos about how so and so is DESTROYED and so on. That is the thing that is tiring, a constant mill of grifters selling negativity and making a mountain out of a molehill.
Recent example would be massive negativity over Avowed because there are pronouns and IGN created an ugly character. So now the game is the worst thing ev...
Positivity is not allowed. You didn't get the memo, everything is shit by default, that's the current mentality.
They are incels because they behave like incels. It's not everyone, but only the people that act a certain way, you'll know it when you see one.
It actually didn't. What really happened was that a guy in a df podcast casually mentioned that he didn't like the main character and whiny gamers freaked the fuck out over nothing. As always.
The whole debacle / non-story surrounding the fairly well recieved Stellar Blade is one of the most idiotic things to happen in gaming in recent times. I hope we shift into a less stupid timeline soon. Unfortunately it seems unlikely.
Luckily you have the option to not play it. Go play a game with a character creation instead.
No, because it's a first person game. Deal with it.
The combat is good. But the open world is shit. Feels like a game where they had a good foundation but didn't know what to use it for.
Might be a hot take, but it's a lot like Sonic Frontiers. Good idea, but terrible use of open world.
It seems to be high effort like Tomb Raider. Even features restored cut content.
And what did he expect? It's been obvious from the start that it would stay faithful to the original and that it wasn't a complete remake.
Cool enough, but probably won't be enough to redeem the game. I don't see much point in playing when I've barely scratched the surface on 6 and 7 that both seem superior in almost every way.
Don't know if it's gotten some gameplay updates that fixes the issues.
I only sign up occasionally. Paid the subscription when Hellblade released, instead of buying the game. And again now with Stalker, which gives me enough overlap to also play Indiana Jones. And then I usually also try a bunch of other stuff while the subscription lasts. Have had it 2 months this year, ane maybe 3 last year.
Been doing this for some time, but Stalker is awesome and might be the first new game I buy for the platform.
From what I've heard it's essentially a first person stealth game / imsim, so I've been very hyped for some time.
Also, it's the people that made Stalker :p.
Synapse is pretty great. One of the better psvr2 titles
I wish they would release them properly. But have been playing Ratchet and Clank games om streaming and it works pretty well these days, where I live atleast, so will probably give them a shot regardless.
No, it's better to be bitter and negative. No fun allowed. Everything sucks all the time and life is miserable.
