That's not what this was about. It's about sales and it can hardly be surprising if ms is selling more in the first half of 2025 than sony, when sony hasn't had that many games out in this period.
I mean first party titles in the last 6 month.
There's no evidence that they are sucking engagement away. If Ghost of Yotai underperforms, then maybe, but until then it's probably a net benefit. Sony gets a cut for every game sold. If the platform is prospering, that's good for business.
Not too surprising considering Sony hasn't released anything and MS has released several games in the past 6 months on the platform. Would be weird if sonys old games outperformed all these ports and new titles.
Game got a very warm reception on steam, is actually made by the brothers of the guy who made Dusk and Iron Lung. Im a bit curious due to it's bioshock inspirations.
True, calling outlaws political is ridiculous. And if anyone is offended by this game, they need therapy.
But it's worth remembering that most people invested in culture war shit are 5 years old mentally. Just whiny children for the most part, looking for nonsense to complain about.
It's a shame, because the game is a lot of fun and does some interesting things. Still a AAA game, but i liked how they approached things and there's a lot of love in the environment art. Doesn't say a lot, but it's the best piece of Star Wars media I've experienced in quite a while. (With the disclaimer that I never watched Andor and that I have a strong affinity towards stealth games).
I bought the lotr movies, they seem to be streaming only. So i guess I'll lose it?
Fortunately it isn't priced at 80. It's 70 and 60 digitally.
I'm not sure they are even the same. Squadron seem to be more of a space sim with fps and rpg elements on top than the other way around. I really want it to release and be good, but remain sceptical that i delivers, even if that extensive gameplay reveal seemed impressive.
@JEECE
Hardware is a factor, but I also think it's design. A lot had changed in games between God Of War 2018 and Ragnarok. And same now with Tsushima. It's post Breath of the Wild, Elden Ring and Baldurs Gate (and maybe there are better examples, but expectations shift gradually and a lot happens in 5 years), and people are generally a little weary of the old open world formula at this point.
Though I will also say that Yotai seems to do some new stuff wit...
Part of it is probably the increased wait. We've seen a lot of new great games since the last installment, so some sequels might feel a little dusty when they arrive compared to contemporary games. It's a little different when there's a new game coming every other year. After half a decade, some probably expect a little more. With that said, I think it looks fine.
probably not, since nobodys played it yet...
And why is the graphic artist coding?
I wish they were doing something else, that's a long wait until they can get back to their own ip, if they ever do that. Would much rather have a dishonored 3, deathloop 2 or a new ip. I don't really have interest in Marvel stuff.
I will never understand how anyone could play GTA 3 or Vice City on ps2 and not hate it. On pc you could atleast aim but on console it was this terrible auto-aim system that didn't work at all. Any encounter was pure luck unless you could find a way to clear it using a car. Roaming the city while listening to radio was cool though.
Yeah, but they will make even more. And probably cut even more projects and stuff to minimize spending.
I like both, but I don't think Gamepass is sustainable in the long run, and I do think MS will make changes as they slowly scale down on spending.
Can hardly be a surprise, they don't have that big of an install base. They need to get it on switch, that's where people are. Switch, ps and pc those are the relevant platforms.
I guess this is the start of the tariff fallout.
