As someone who loves NMS, I think this game is ripe for division, exactly like what we're seeing.

If this game just kinda suddenly came out and we found out about it at launch, like Proteus, we'd appreciate it for being so freaking different and for *not* meeting the expectations of the average gamer in service of something more. But it's a product - one that had to be advertised, one that needed preorder bonuses, because the budget wasn't indie-tier at all...

I just jumped into it after midnight, and I didn't know it would be so survival-ish. I'm usually not a fan - Minecraft didn't hold my attention for long, Ark was fun to watch on Monster Factory but not much else, and despite loving what they were trying to do, Don't Starve wasn't my jam.

Which is why it's so weird that I'm enthralled by this game. I think the setting has something to do with it, and a combination of simplicity (there aren't a...

And it's up to Bandai Namco to give us a freaking release date...

Apparently the creator now understands what you can do. http://www.no-mans-sky.com/...

Yes! This is exactly what I picked up too! I loved Freespace and Freespace 2.

Holy moly. They brought in a Deus Ex guy to rewrite a branching path storyline, reprogrammed how aiming works, included entirely new systems like creatures needing to eat, redid the universe's generation formula... wow. Now *that* is an update.

I guess this is because they wanted to get all of this done by release, but first they had to go gold with a previous version because disc production takes weeks to do. Nothing sketchy here. I'll patiently wait for reviews o...

Dang it, fighting games. Get your single-player content together.

Yeah, this looks like what would be a short set of filler episodes in an anime series. Nothing to be concerned about. Now, let's hope the actual game is good.

Yes, we must stop being couch potatoes!

...that's what VR is for.

That soundtrack was so good! The game was a little weird, I kinda lump it in with the SaGa Frontier series although it's a little simpler.

Cool! Lately I've been much more keen on this game, since Foundry released actual footage of it and they're definitely shooting for 60fps. Like, they've got the look down, they just need the movement to work really well.

That plus like 400 cars? Awesome. I haven't been a big fan of many of the old GT tracks, so hopefully that's what is happening to the track count, just pushing out the legacy stuff.

God-tier UI on this thing. Just... wow. Any design fanatic should be anxiously awaiting P5's release.

This was a good, personal article. I pretty much agree - there's a real barrier to entry when stuff is focused on online modes. The systems could be amazing, the characters intriguing, but the amount of time it takes to get good is crazy.

I'm really glad. Rez in VR has been *the dream* as far as I'm concerned, and I hope beyond hope that it turns out great. If it does, I'll be first in line.

I'm hoping that the author's two cons are settled when the thing's actually a thing and not a pretty well-confirmed rumor. Tegra chips will advance, they're not the gen-1 things we saw before. It's not like comparing a chip to a specific Nvidia card, it's like comparing a chip to Geforce/GTX in general. Maybe you're not a fan of the GTX 780. That's okay, because they've gotten better since.

Battery life is *the big question.* If they Atar...

I have had absolutely no idea why people have been going crazy over this game at E3 and since E3. This is coming from someone who was head-over-heels for BioShock & Infinite and loves a good roguelike-lite. It just looks like a mid-tier simulacrum of what Bioshock almost looks like, combined with a lazy Burtonesque vibe.

Finally. This was their best shot at staying relevant. Now we can all sit tight and wonder about the battery life until they've tested that out.
