I don't get the need for x-game chat. Not trolling here, completely serious. If I'm playing a game, and not in the same game as someone else, I really have no need to talk to them, nor do I really pay any attention to what they say. Yeah, I still haven't thought of a single reason I'd want cross-game chat. Like I've said before, has anyone ever called you on the phone while you're playing a game? You totally ignore them, and they can tell. Now imagine everyone playing a game, and different games at that. Seems utterly pointless to me.

I'd say that Warhammer 40k is probably a more popular IP than gears, but that may just be within the PC/tabletop community.

alright, fair enough...now how does this box do that? It looks like the same'ol xbox brand to me, and being a gamer myself, I definately don't see how there is a big enough change that would attract a new market or "rebrand" the current product.

I am under the impression that branding is a combination of name, logo and possibly color scheme. It still says xbox 360, still has the sphere with the x in it, and still is silver and green. Where on the box is this new branding people are talking about?

Lol, nobody said that the Orange Box or Half-Life were not Valve IPs. All they said was that Valve had absolutely nothing to do with porting the Orange Box over to the PS3. That was done by EA, and Valve claimed they had nothing to do with it because they didn't want/like to program on the PS3.
