Yup, thinking the exact same thing.
Wonder if this means they are scrapping the online addition to Torchlight, of if Torchlight 2 will have an online/MMO aspect?
OMG.
The thing is, yeah, kinect could work well with the controller, but THAT COMPLETELY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE. If you're going to be holding a controller to actually be able to play a non-shovelware game with no red balls, you might was well have something what works like the Wiimote or Move, rendering Kinects original concept as worthless.
Wouldn't vibration work better than electrocution for that? Never met a girl who sticks a fork in an electrical socket to get off...
If you're holding a controller, what need to you have for Kinect?
The only game changing will be from decent games to shovel-ware.
If anything, Kinect will reaffirm controllers.
What does that even mean?
Yup, I do. And I still haven't played it :)
I think the main reason it didn't sell well was not being able to get licensed franchises. Blame EA for that when they were competing with 2K Sports. Regardless though, I'll take the gameplay in Backbreaker any day over Madden.
Just wondering, has there been a single kinect demo success yet?
I checked out the demo for Backbraker, made by natural motion, and although it wasn't the deepest gameplay, it was FUN as #%$#. I think the thing that really hurt it was that it couldn't get licensed teams. If EA could work with these guys, or Natural Motion could get the real teams, we'd have a pretty decent alternative to the yearly churn out from EA.
Lol, Gamestop is going to have to open a new chain just to sell pre-owned Kinects.
I don't think there are any problems with pre-rendered or highly post-processed in game cinematics. I just think people need to realize that even though these graphics are done within the engine, the system won't necessarily be able to produce the same quality during open gameplay.
Well, I haven't watched the trailer yet, but before I do, I just wanted to point out that even though in game trailers/cinematics use the game engine, they generally add a lot of post processing effects that you don't get during gameplay. So I dont' think everyone should get excited and think this is what gameplay will look like. I remember back to Halo2, where the cutscenes looked incredible for the time, but when you went to gameplay all the real time lighting and higher res/b...
If you're computer can't function at 100%, its not the games fault, its the computers. If you're claiming its games fault, what do you propose Blizzard does to fix the situation? Because the only solutions I see are to fix the computer, not the game. Hence, not the games fault. Many pieces of software will tax your cpu/gpu, and overheating is only an issue if you have improper cooling. Why have a decent computer if you can't fully utilize it?
In a differen...
Umm, its not the game causing the overheating. If the processor is under a full load, the computer should be able to handle it. If it can't, its the cooling system causing the computer to overheat, not the game. Its not the games fault if you have a gimped computer.
Improper or insufficient ventilation causing PC's to overhead under stress, just as it always has. Super news /s.
That's good reporting. They are covering all angles :p
