Is this game much different than Pure?

There is backwards compatibility for these games on 360, so I'd assume you can still play multi on the newer live. I mean yeah, If you're an original xbox gamer you'll have to upgrade, which sucks, but correct me if I'm wrong?
honestly, I have the PC version, beging overall a pc gamer. And GTA4 on pc looks terrible. There is no anti-aliasing, you can't even force it through your videocard. Its optimized like crap, a straight junk port. One of the few games I wish I had bought on the console instead. At the same time, I got it off steam for like $6, but still..It irritates me. You may be able to have some higher res textures on the pc, maybe a bit fancier lighting/shadows, but overall, and compared to other pc...
However, I'm not sure what kind of pull Activision has over Blizzard games. I am quite concerned that this game will have a $60+ price tag, or that DLC will completely overtake the game. Anyone have any insight to this?
I agree with both of you guys. I'm mainly a pc gamer, and have to say I am quite sickened with the current trend of porting console games to PC. Several games I have bought for PC with hopes of them being better than the console version. While in some aspects they are, I am often left with the feeling of "crap, should have just gotten this on the console instead"
Exactly as other people have said, consoles have a $10 licensing fee added to the price of the title, as where PC's have no such fee being an open platform. When a standard pc game is marked up to $60 its just the publisher being greedy. Though in all fairness, the ONLY non-special edition game I've seen with this price tag is MW2.
PS. Geno, you have no clue what you're talking about.
This may just be my opinon, but I don't see any device with a lack of input buttons/joystick/pad being a very viable for gaming.
"How many people would still buy an iPad if they weren't allowed to tell anyone they had it?"
I lol'd. Then thought about it. Then lol'd some more.
I'm pretty sure BF3 will be a pc exclusive, so expect a more advanced engine than BC2 since consoles won't have to be taken into account.
Its not quite like that. When a game suddenly gets canceled for its original systems, even after being shown running on said systems, then is announced as a 360 exclusive being supported by M$, thats when people assume that checks are being thrown around.
Like you said, Its all about making money. And some developers will sell out.
If all the gaming giants (sony, ms, nintendo) do this, name some games that sony or nintendo have made into exclusives after having alr...
FYI, a Mac is a personal computer :p
or go back to their pc roots ;p
Why would they be ridiculed as a "one trick pony"? The marathon series was EPIC, and story-wise blows Halo out of the water. They Myth series were awesome RTS games in their time, Oni was alright, slated to be much more then cut back before release, but was still decent for a fighting game. Then there are all the other old school classics (vikings anyone :) Bungie has a more successful history than a lot of developers.
Halo is in actuality a spin-off of the maratho...
just another crappy pc port
It hardly looks updated.
Do companies like gamefly pay out royalties to the developers? If not, I don't really see the difference in pirating a game and deleting it after a few days, or renting it off gamefly and returning it after a few days. The only difference is gamefly gets a few bucks. Still a lost sale to the developer or publisher. Same thing kinda goes with buying used games, but I'm not going to get into it. If anyone knows how that system works, let me know.
Upscales all the original sonic games as well as a bunch of other oldschool titles.
Don't be a fanboy and bring up the ps3 just because conviction is overhyped. The ps3 has NOTHING to do with this.
These settings are not hidden. They are right in the "settings" file where DICE said they would be.
Edit...This wasn't supposed to be a reply...oh well
"Wii Sports was responsible for maybe 20-30 million users playing videogames that normally wouldn't"
and these people now have their casual console. They are not going to go out and buy another.
"Ricochet for Natal is going to have the same sort of impact, if not more."
In all seriousness, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not.
