Gameplay, production quality, graphics, content and more, are usually much better in a P2P MMO than in a F2P. Its not ALWAYS the case, but it is the norm.
Why would people in mansions with nice cars eat at McD's?
I don't think the sales numbers are what determine the winners. And even if you want to go that route, include all the numbers, like the amount of 360's that had to be replaced due to RROD. Not all were replaced through M$, so I you could probably assume the amount of 360's out in the wild is about 10-20% less than units sold.
I browse gaming sites frequently, so I see ads/news for pretty much all games that are coming out. But as far as for on the street or on television, the only game I've seen an ad for that I can remember is Halo. Maybe I've seen one for blur? I know sony shows clips of multiple games in their Ads, but doesn't really have game specific commercials that I've noticed. I guess what I'm saying boils down to, I don't think that lack of advertising will kill a game, becaus...
Damn, I would probably scream too if I were being raped. I hear its pretty traumatic.
Could be issues with billing (battlenet has a monthly fee in some countries) or with digital purchases if the names don't match.
If Microsoft provided dedicated servers for all LIVE enabled games, then I could perhaps see some reason in charging a fee. But seeing as how the majority of games are P2P, Microsoft is spending absolutely nothing, or providing anything- in terms of just the online multiplayer aspect. Playing games online P2P should absolutely be free, other than the expense of your internet connection.
Oh good, game installs are a positive now. I can never keep up with the trends.
Yeah, my fios connection doens't max out my 54mbps G connection, don't really see the need to up that to a 100mbps connection. Hell, if console to pc speed really meant that much to me, I'd just hardwire it...oh wait, i did :p 1000mbps :)
Well, I don't know if its biologically correct at all, but natal always made me think of prenatal, making me think of fetuses. I always thought the name was a little strange.
Why did she have his password?
Yeah, but other than Halo and maybe a few others, what games do you really see advertised?
Assumptions can go both ways. You guys act like every broken 360s has been posted on N4G. Not everyone makes videos about broken consoles.
NO, but trying to talk like Yoda makes for a crappy review title.
4GB of 2 year old Kingston RAM outperforms 320GB Hard Drive!!! Amazing!
I don't have the brain power to comprehend how people are disagreeing with you.
wow. waterboy has lost at the internets.
No, you really can. 2x anti-aliasing is really not that stressful, and you can definitely get console quality graphics out of a 4-6 y/o rig. Now you may not be running that at your max monitor resolution, but you can still pull the same or higher res than a console.
Lol, OMG I don't own a table I can use for an hour.
No seriously, I'm not being mean, I just find that really humorous.
And really, if you have all the parts right there, you can build a computer in an hour or less.
Well, $15 a month is the norm, and its not really that bad. The companies need to make some extra money beyond box sales to continue working on updates/new content, maintaining the servers and customer support. MMO's are a game, but they are also a service. Just like most services, there is a fee. There may be one or two exceptions, like Guild Wars, but thats really the standard. There is nothing "immoral" about it.
