They keep stating "support for Kinect". I haven't looked into this at all, but does this mean that older models won't support Kinect, or are they just using that as a cheap marketing ploy?
I didn't realize they scratched that easily. I was thinking you'd have to shake it or something. That guy just moved it in the same way one would move a console to plug in usb devices in the back, move cables etc. Wow.
This is the issue right here. You shouldn't have to constantly buy them. One should cut it. I finally quit on the third one :)
Oh, and the HD is proprietary. Thats not a laptop drive in there...
This is probably not the reason as console graphics can be toned down a lot, but I am not sure how well the 360 will run this game. In all seriousness, my PC runs Crysis on high settings around 30fps (just as an example), and has MUCH more power than the 360. I ran the FFXIV benchmark tool that came out and scored just at 1500, which translates on the website to "don't even bother trying to run this game." Not even on the lowest possible settings.
edit, from ...
What MMO ever released has not had dedicated servers? You can't have a persistent world over a p2p connection.
I'm mostly a pc gamer here, and while I agree with most of your statement, I think Rage looks to be shaping up to be an amazing game. Regardless of how it does/doesn't perform on the 360. Id has a good track record, and I wouldn't throw it in with Alan Wake and Forza 3 (for the fact that its not a 360 flagship/exclusive).
Just a question here about the 120hz tv requirements.
So they say you need a 120hz TV so you can get 2 independent 60fps feeds to create the illusion. I don't understand why we can't just have 3D on a standard old 60hz tv with the games running at 30fps. Of course 60fps is optimal, but plenty of games are locked at 30fps anyway.
Is this viable, or is my understanding off?
I expected them to follow the same model as the rest of the industry majority. They did.
I don't think this will make a difference for you, but the fist month is always included "free" in the game price with MMOs.
Its an MMO, thats a standard fee. I don't see what people dont' understand about this. If you dont' want to pay the monthly fee, then don't play the game.
Five bucks says PS3 slim was also invented before Sony announced it. Who cares?
Don't a majority of the console players already pay a monthly/yearly fee to play games online? :p
I gotta say, crysis was a fun game, nothing really wrong with it. But when the first Far Cry came out before that, it thought it was one of the most amazing games I have played.
Look at all this guys bubbles...I take it they come from how many posts you make and not upvotes then?
This is actually what I don't like about fable. I played fable 2, and as soon as I could just maxed out some fire damage spells. I ruined everything, and the game was WAY too easy. I was also disappointed with the length of the game, it seemed to end just as I was getting into it.
LOTR online is like this, it follows along side the story in the books. Turbine did a pretty good job in creating the world, and it looks pretty nice. This fall it goes F2P as well, following their D&D online model.
Lets not jump the gun on that one yet, its only been in the wild for a few days.
I didn't realize either was for sale yet...
I'm on my third 360, first one was replaced by a BB service plan before the 3 year warranty, the second by M$. The third one still works, but I'll be damned if I invest ANY more money into it.
What in the world are you talking about?
