Are you trying to make that comparison yourself, or are you saying that's how far-fetched the article is? Either way, that is a horrible comparison for anything.

Yeah, alot of people try to say that the game pad is superior. These are the same people who don't know how to use a mouse and keyboard. I don't think you could find a single person who has become good/comfortable with both control schemes that prefers the game pad.

I have one of the later phat versions, the 80Gig, and that thing is SILENT. I seriously have to have my head within a foot or two in a near silent room to hear anything coming out of it.

I think it could actually improve the gaming industry as a whole. If people couldn't sell back/buy used games, they'd be a lot more selective in their purchases, in turn forcing the developers to create a much better product rather than pushing out all the re-hashed overdone franchises that are released yearly to make a buck.

I'm not sure I'm following your argument here.

- "Used gaming is good. fuels the gaming economy."
- "the used copy next to it for $55. "
- "none of that 55$ goes towards developers. "

So how how do used games fuel the economy when they people creating them don't even see a penny out of them? It may help gamers save a dime or two, but its not helping out the developers, and without them there would be ...

I see Rift mentioned here and there, but really have no real excitement for it. Is there something about it I just don't know, or is it just a personal taste thing?

Is probably a good possibility. I'm going for the PC version regardless of whats out there, but in one of NCSofts quarterly(yearly?) investor meetings they did talk about GW2 being developed for consoles. I only know this from being an AION player and people analyzing the meetings on the forums, trying to get info on the games future.

It might be ok with Kinect, but I think it would ruin the whole Elder Scrolls experience by putting the game on rails.
:p

From the article:

"So just to clarify, if you shelled out your $50 to purchase the game..."

Well, considering the game only cost $20 originally, if you spent $50 you've now been screwed twice.

"I don't unstand how you would think it is a good idea to install a BluRay drive for multimedia purposes on a primarily GAMING console only and not be able to use it for games. IS it just me, or does that not make any sense."

No, it doesn't make sense, but this is M$ here. See: XBOX 360 HD DVD Player

"But it was their intention to eventually be able to use it for games. It isn't possible with Blu-Ray for the same reasons I stated e...

But NO ONE has said to put 360 games on blue ray disks. You are the only one who keeps bringing that up, and thats not the point. The point is that it could be nice if the xbox had a blue ray drive in it. Not for games, but for general media. Keep the games on dvd.

This is the OP:
Still no blu-ray for 360 for shame xbox for shame:(

Nowhere does it say that he wants games on blueray...he just wants the 360 to have the player. When xbox introduced ...

Blue Ray players can read dvds, and Blue Ray can be used for alot more than just games, especially when touting your system as an entertainment/media hub. Use some logic.

In college I did alot of audio/video using both systems, and wonder why it is you say that macs are much better for audio/visual work? I know they used that sentiment as their "thing" and may have been true with early versions of aldus/photoshop whatnot, but nowadays there isn't really any difference. Commercial software isn't really better on one nor the other, and if you're a company using truly advanced software, custom written in house, you're probably not on a...

Upgrading a Mac is very easy, just look at this:

Humor aside, yeah, I too prefer the openess of non-apple hardware.

On another note, not sure if I'm alone on this one, but it really annoys me when people say that macs aren't PC's. PC=Personal computer, not windows. The majority of macos/windows/linux computers used at...

I pretty much wait a while on all games that have DLC announced before they are even launched. You know it will always come in a bundle eventually.

I'm really gonna wait on that verdict. I told myself that for fable II...and was quite let down.

Well, whether you mean that or not, you're correct. IW as we know it has left Activision and created Respawn Entertainment.

Well, power is not all about graphics. Physics and AI take up quite a bit of power too, you could sacrifice those for a bit more graphical shine at a loss of gameplay, or tone down the graphics and get better animations and physics and AI. In crytek's defense, while they may not have the "best graphics ever", there probably aren't many more if any game engines doing more calculating under the hood.
