There are still 40 million PS1/2 owners how haven't upgraded their hardware. If GTA pushes new sales, PS3 has a built in edge.
If the cost of manufacture comes down and the technology can scale that far we will see it. Technology always moves forward. Your post reminds me of when Bill Gates said we'd never need more than 640k on our PeeCees.
I have not seen a 1080p download yet...
New technology. Next year it'll be twice that size, though it may not be half the cost.
::grin::
I don't really have any problem with MS Points or paying with a Credit card. I actually think it's much easier than PSN.
Well, to download from Marketplace you have to have the 20G model.
PS3, 40G, Bluray, Built-in WiFi = $399
Xbox, 20G, DVD, no WiFi = $349, Live! Gold membership = $50
Microsoft can't win the cost argument. Trust me, a $399 Xbox with the same features as the PS3 would be flying off the shelves, I'd pick one up tomorrow as long as it was as quiet as the PS3 and no more RRoD.
But if these models bounce like the Dead or Alive series, it will be a lot of eye candy.
The PS3 is great. But I do keep my mind open, if MS releases a Bluray Xbox Ultimate, all bets are off.
Land of the Lost
The Hulk II
Hellboy II
The Wolfman
And I think everyone's waiting for American Gangster... and Beowulf.
There aren't a whole lot of "game related" features firmware can add. The ones you want, are complex.
One step at a time. Hey, they are making it better, not everyone does. And Bluray Rocks! Now with Master Audio my friend.
here either. No doubt there are many who were waiting in anticipation and the load is heavy. This is actually a problem Xbox Live Marketplace suffers from regularly.. slow loading images.
The rest of the site is quite fast though. I don't think it looks better than XBLM, but it is faster (of course, right now there's no images) and I think I like its compactness better. Interested in seeing how smooth the purchase process is with the redesign.
All in all, looks g...
Amazon shipped my Predator Bluray disc today. Can't wait to try out Dolby-HD Master Audio.
RE5 is set in Africa, where the infection is to have originated.
heheh, those are actually two oldies I might fire up. Expecially Stranger's Wrath. I'd like to give Beyond G&E a go just because of the critical acclaim it has received.
I'm looking forward to this game too. But if you want to make it a political or social issue, I don't see how this is going to shed a positive light on Africa or Nigeria.
I guess since the concensus is AIDs orginated in africa, why not this infection too. We need a healthy American, just happens to be white, to go and exterminate them all. I'll play it, I'd just rather not debate it politically.
This is a case where I hope we just let the game be a game.
I respect his response. Though his movies do tend to suck.
With PSN and XBLA games, I'm not sure backwards compatability matters anymore. Being able to dowload and play old games is more important now.
Let me rephrase: For those, out of the 40 million playstation owners who have not gone next-gen, who can afford it, and are moved to upgrade by GTA IV, Sony may have a built-in advantage as these people already ows Playstations and may be attached to the brand. That's just undeniable. Doesn't mean they will. But I'd rather have that possibility of brand loyalty than... not have it.
Other than money, many argue there hasn't been enough reason for them to upgrade to PS3. The game...
