I'm pretty sure that Devs get royalties off of downloads paid or not...
I tried to determine how this can be profitable for all involved i.e. Sony and the respective developers of said games.. But I realized that it's probably very profitable. First of all they don't offer BRAND new games so devs already made money but I'm sure they get royalties from Sony for every download, it increases exposure, larger audience for dlc and future games, and Sony gets a constant influx of money.. They've received $150 from me alone since this program began that ...
I'll miss seeing UK carved into the back of that head.. Man broke my heart when he blew his knee out.. Great kid, great player.. I wish you all the best Nerlens BBN will always appreciate you!!!
@kewlkat007
" I doubt MS investing in 300K servers to sit there and be useless."
Or maybe its just a marketing tool? Considering all of the questionable and unorthodox methods Microsoft has used to gain a marketable advantage over the years is it really so far fetched that this is nothing more then a dedicated server farm with a buzz word like "the cloud" to incite interest and increase exposure? Until somebody, anybody gives me tangible evidence ...
@fromthebeach Every title listed was confirmed by Sony to be "launch window" meaning launch or the first 6 months on market.. Most of what Microsoft showed was multiplats and or not having a launch date until at least some indefinite time in 2014.. SO don't be that guy and try to twist my statements to use against me.. I'm fully aware that infamous, the order, and deep down aren't launch day titles.. Notice how nowhere in my statement did I ever say "LAUNCH DAY&quo...

Not to mention the 10 Indie titles shown on stage. Microsoft didn't even whisper about their Indie plans. Plus Sony confirmed that they have 30 more titles to show off before launch most of which will probably be unveiled at GDC... Sony didn't lay all of their cards on the table at E3 which was a brilliant move.. I'm k...
Pound for pound the Ps4 launch lineup is just as good.. Don't be that guy...
So the tons of Indie exclusives that Sony showed meant nothing? smh
So you spent $10 on a month of Live to get two games that you could buy actual physical copies for nearly the same price? Whatever floats your boat
If people TRULY wanted motion controls and all of the "what if" scenarios it implied for unique games then they would have bought Kinect and move more so then they did.. Look at the wii they forced motion controls, the system sold like crack on a street corner in south central but there is no AAA support outside of first party.. Only first party Nintendo games and Dance games seem to sell well.. So the logical conclusion is that a majority of gamers just wanna relax, controller in h...
But how does it hurt us consumers if the camera isn't included? If the Eye fails and goes away it wont' change the core functionality of the PS4 in anyway shape or form.. The only people that will suffer are the ones that actually like and want the EYE which is less than a third of the current PlayStation fanbase...
Because there is a specific segment of people on this site that are desperately trying to weaken the PS4's reputation. SO these people will take anything regardless of how unimportant it may be and spin it to fulfill their PS4 hating agendas...
@greenpowerz Give it up. Someone exposed you for the troll you are and yet you are still trying to defend your stab at Sony in an article about Sony.. You have no business here considering how little you care about Sony.
Here's my point "motion" controls have proved to be very gimmicky so far and Forcing the consumer to have it whether they want it or not probably wont change the shallow and gimmicky nature of motion games. Especially on the Kinect, there is a limitation on full interaction.. You can't move in full 3d space, you can only move as far as you are from the camera.. So that means that you would either have to use the controller in conjuction with the Kinect which eliminates the u...
@Omni My point about RYSE was that it's technically not a new IP.. Its a recycled idea that is being used to bolster the XBONE's launch lineup.. Ryse just looks like Microsoft's answer to God of War, we'll see just how good this Kinect leftover will be in a few months...
Please don't tell me that you are an XBOX Live subscriber Kos-Mos.. If you are then you're entire statement becomes invalid..
I've been a PS+ subscriber since day one, it was E3 2011 if memory serves me right and now my hard drive is completely full :(
This is the only negative I've found with the service lol...
@RGDubz Why are you soooo hung up on the fact that PS+ is tantamount to a rental service? Fact of the matter is that as long as I am a subscriber I get instant access to a growing list of Great games, not mediocre games.. Call it what you want but at the end of the day PS+ actually gives something back to the gamer whereas Live requires you to "rent" the multiplayer portion of your game..
Their arrogance is finally catching up to them.. To say that Microsoft hasn't contributed anything beneficial to the industry would be asinine. They helped usher in online gaming as we know it which is great.. Their policies and approach need a lot of work..
Microsoft's plummeting popularity lies in the departure from their core audience, the anti consumer policies on the XBONE, and finally their overabundance of arrogance in regards to their defense of these polices...
