Evrrything on the 360 was needlessly proprietary and expensive...live paywall gave you nothing but the privilege of playing your games online and some social features.. Plus actually has value and is cheaper.. plugging headsets into the 360 controller was chat only, on ps4 its chat and audio..
lets not forget the expensive wifi adaptor, hd-dvd drive, lack of hdmi port in the beginin...

So can someone help me understand the differences between Xbox One's unified architecture and PS4's huMA architecture? From what I've read GDDR5 has latency issues but using the heterogeneous unified memory architecture is supposed to somehow offset or solve the latency issues of GDDR5. All of this technical jargon gets confusing fast..
Really? Last I checked the 360 has always had an external power brick but had an abysmal failure rate compared to the more complex and powerful PS3.. Just because the brick is external doesn't mean it will run cooler..
@rainslacker That's actually what devs ended up doing on the PS3 to avoid the memory bottleneck. They would pre-load assests into an allocated cell core.. Its not the same thing as using flash memory but its a similar tactic.. I think it's something that devs will be utilizing more and more..
@Jim I understand that he has a preference but stating it as a fact is a bit irksome. There are a lot of Xbox zealots on this site trying to proclaim how much superior the One's launch line up is compared to the PS4 whenever they both have nearly identical lineups..
@worldwide Xbox hasn't been the superior brand.. Despite a huge headstart and a significantly cheaper price tag Sony ran them down and passed them in worldwide sales, releases more proper high quality exclusives, and doesn't abandon a platform to promote a new one..
The only significant downtime I have ever experienced with PSN was after they shut PSN off after the hack.. Other than that PSN has been a great service that is also free.. Spread your fud somewhere else Cueil
@ma1asiah You do realize that every single PS4 comes with 2 free games right? Drive club ps+ edition and Resogun. Soo this fair comparison you are referring to needs to take those two titles into account..

How exactly is the launch lineup better? Both systems have 3 launch day exclusives.. They both have the stellar 3rd party titles like Assassins creed iv, Battlefield 4, and Watch Dogs.. So from my perspective both systems have nearly IDENTICAL launch lineups.. Sooo yea keep drinking your own kool aid.. The rest of us know the truth..

This is Bioshock all over again.. I waited for it to come out on the PS3. When it did I bought, played, beat it and moved on.. Not once did I regret not rushing out and buying a 360 just so I could play that game.. @AngryEnglish GDDR5's only weakness is latency but Sony has found a way of overcoming that with Huma or Unified memory.. Sony knows hardware and they've proven it time and time again.
Honestly Drivatar is no different than Bspec mode that has been in Gran Turismo for years now.. There were minor differences between any of the multiplats on the ps3 and 360.. It usually ended up being a ram issue that cause AA problems or frame rate issues.. But on the whole the games played exactly the same... This whole argument was debunked years ago.. Besides the Exclusive superiority of PS3 titles more than made up for any of the issues ps3 gamers had to endure.. We're still getting AAA blockbuster titles...
You do realize that the Ps4 has more second screen options than the ONE right? There's a phone/tablet app and the ability to use the Vita in conjunction with the PS4. I do own both and BLOPSII looks identical on both platforms.. You are severely exaggerating something that isn't even true.. In the early years of this previous gen the differences were bigger but over the last couple of years some Ps3 versions were better some 360 versions were but most looked identical with minor intangible differences... keep pushing that agenda..
Its much more convenient not having to swap batteries.. I have a usb multiport within reach because most electronics use usb charging cables... your tripping over wires excuse is a lame attempt to downplay the advantage of having built in rechargeable batteries...
