GAMES!
I really hope Sony does more than just colored controllers with the PS4.. There were some really good looking 360 controllers over the years and it's been something I have secretly hoped Sony would do.. But if they don't its not a deal breaker, just a bonus.
No Raptr is the closest thing to a "Facebook for gaming" Microsoft is the Microsoft of gaming.
Weave? Wig? Hair implants? lol
@Fishyfingers Sony had in fact originally planned on a number near 4 gigs of ram but their panel of developers all resoundingly influenced Sony to use an 8 gig setup..
@Horse Do you know how costly it is to change an electronic device's specs? Not only do they have to account for the changes in terms of manufacturing from materials to tooling they have to resubmit hardware to the SEC for approval. It's costs them time, money, and reduces the number of units they can p...
Since when does a Corporation have to make public statements about every rumor/conspiracy theory that boils up? In the past Microsoft mostly ignored rumors like this, do you not remember how long they deflected the RROD rumors and outright denied it was a problem? Now suddenly we're supposed to believe that they have a brand new altruistic attitude and will address all issues/rumors? Very poor waste of company resources and sadly smells of damage control..
@JackofDeath Even the Pentagon has been hacked meaning your personal information is not safe online with ANYONE especially a gaming console.. You took a personal risk using your bank/credit card online.. But instead of blame the people really responsible, yours for trusting your financial security online and the hackers for stealing the info, you aim your cross hairs straight at Sony.. If you don't have enough common sense to use pre paid cards and or PSN cards online then you have no ri...
"who knows, if they are only able to release to 13 places then the production isnt keeping up with demand."
If they are unable to match production with demand then that doesn't bode well for their production. They are behind Sony in terms of pre orders yet Sony is launching in more countries? Hmmm makes one think..
Who on Earth thinks that Microsoft wouldn't have enough legal leverage to negotiate an NDA that doesn't gag them so close to launch? Especially if they actually did invest all of the money the fanboys would have you believe they have into AMD..
@coop Microsoft has more than enough leverage to negotiate a contract that wouldn't gag them so close to the launch.. Not being able to reveal actual specs is hurting their reputation and public perception, tech as good as these rumors indicate wouldn't be covered up so aggressively.. We all know how much Microsoft loves to brag when they have an advantage, this whole scenario smells of damage control... Only reason anyone is buying that excuse is because of how neatly it cleans up ...
I completely disagree with you.. I think the DS3 controller is much more comfortable. Especially for marathon game sessions.. Less of the DS3 makes contact with my hands and its super light.. My 360 controller makes my hands sweat and after a long time it feels super heavy leading to fatigue.. Lastly I love the light responsive feel and layout of the DS3 analog sticks.. Sure the 360 pad feels really ergonomic, it should its contoured but that becomes a disadvantage the longer you play..
Using the Sixaxis control in Warhawk proved it was a great feature that was poorly implemented by most devs.. I absolutely loved playing warhawk with sixaxis and wish more games would take advantage of it..
Horrible for FPS'? Hmm then how is it that my KDR is far better in my PS3 version of my call of duty games than in the 360 version? I'm sorry but I love the DS3 especially for shooters but when I want to play something that isn't a shooter my DS3 walks alllll over the 360 pad..
"A catalogue of games which isn't going to be an endless precession of shooters and all the stuff we got this gen just prettied up."
Sony's catalog of games and studios is more than just an endless procession of shooters.. They arguably have a better variety of games than Nintendo. But whatever you have to tell yourself to be comfortable with your WII U..
Lol while you toil away with external memory I'm upgrading my PS4's hard drive day one with a 1tb hybrid solid state drive... Save space is a non issue on the PS4, but good luck trying to spin that as a positive for the ONE...
@VforVideogames Live and PS+ are not the same price.. Live is $60 and PS+ is $50.. Not to mention the only thing locked behind the pay wall on PS+ is multiplayer.
You've got to be kidding me.. Cross plat from pc to XB1 is not easier than PS4. Sony used developer feedback to build the PS4 instead of creating an overly complex architecture like they did with the PS3. Developers told Sony you have to have 8 gigs of GDDR5.. Now why would they tell Sony to do that if it made porting from the pc harder?
Also your statement about the dev kits is just you finding something, anything to issue a disadvantage to Sony. Sony isn't just len...
You need to stop with this holier than thou art attitude.. You are sitting here throwing around conjecture acting like you have this whole thing figured out..
Why don't you try posting some actual proof that Sony is doing all of the things that you are claiming instead of attacking people that are loyal to the brand that has proven time and time again that they truly do care about their fanbase..
Yes it all centers around money, I get that I'm not s...
I really don't like the music comparison when discussing digital games... its two completely different scenarios... Most people have hundreds of songs some thousands.. its much easier and convienent to store, access, and take that much content with you digitally... Games are products we sit for hours in one place and enjoy, digital doesn't offer much incentive in this environment.. If digital games were significantly cheaper cthen digital would have an advantage...
If most or all games needed more than 4 controllers then yes this would be a big deal. Considering most games cap out at 4 player local then I'm going to say it's just a bullet point in a sales pitch.
