The WII U is a prime example of why courting casual consumers is risky.. They're fickle and will go just as fast as they come..

Its obvious they went with style over substance.. Seems like they spent all of their resources on visual fidelity as opposed to cars, tracks, day/night cycles, weather etc.. But hey it's a 1080p launch exclusive right?
Except with the Ps4 I get the "privilege" of choosing to buy the camera which is essentially the exact same thing and is $40 cheaper than the overhead cost with XboxOne.. I've never seen a fanbase so complacent with having their choices subplanted by Microsoft's desire to push their "vision" on everyone.. I might be a boat rocker here but I reserve the right to choose which gimmicks I wish to participate in..
But its hypocrisy to claim lack of 1080p @60fps is unnacceptable yet turn around and downplay its signifigance. Adam has maintained an Xbox bias since his days on G4 and he masked it if ownly thinly. I've been a gamer for the better part of 25 years now and have never bought a console at launch.. But this year that all changes, PS4 pre ordered and paid in full.. I'm numb from anticipation.. Almost doesn't seem real.

I find that the PS4's design is organic and well thought out. Having the disc slot and the power/eject buttons integrated into the recess' in the front adds to the cleaner appearance of the console. Sony has brought all of their hardware prowess to bear on the PS4 and it's paying off..
Except you dont use the "triggers" on the DS3.. You use the shoulder or L1 and R1 buttons which I personally prefer.. They are just as effective as the 360's triggers without the novelty of feeling like your actually pulling a trigger.
See thats my exact issue with the 360 pad.. its far heavier and more of the controller comes in contact with your hand so it cause cramping and sweaty hands for me..
I hate the 360 pad for racing games from the asymmetrical stick layout and the triggers are way to stiff making modulating the throttle and brake hard to do.. As far as shooters are concerned I am in love with the L1+R1 setup on the ds3.. it feels good to me and my performance in shooters is better on ps3.. so basically what im getting at is its opinion and conjecture not fact..
Honestly they both look incredible, far better than internet hyperbole would have us believe.. I am going to enjoy this on PS4 and after watching this I have no doubts my xbox one counterparts will have no less fun.. Let the 8th generation begin!
