This game is too much for current consoles.
I was in tears when my Mass Effect 2 achievement didn't unlock. I can't look at the series without feeling disappointed.

I stopped buying COD a few years ago, but I see how people love it, I certainly did COD4 but each version is nearly identical to the last. The gameplay just became boring.
Seriously though, if COD came out every two years and sold 3 mill instead of 20 and some other game released yearly selling 20 mill, people would hate that instead and love COD.

I live in Canada, with our Internet bandwidth caps and high data prices 5 hrs of gaming will cost 20 bucks in overage.
Netflix is right, Canada's Internet service is like a 3rd world countries.
As Move owner, $30 is still too much. Better to spend the money on 30 game. Plenty of year old AAA games can be had for $30.
I still think that Move has potential to be the best way to control FPS games but support was minimal and even Sony's implementation was often poorly done. Killzone 3 with Move however is excellent.
It would be cools if there were free/super cheap games too like on iOS and Android. I wouldn't mind some cheap puzzle/game apps.
Besides Gears Epic has nothing. Already there are so many engines that produce way better graphics than Unreal. At least according to the demos.
I much prefer overly sexualized female characters...in appearance only though, not personality as that often makes for bad acting or one dimensional characters.
If games can have perfect female bodies, why not? All the guys are ripped.

As a PS3 and 360 owner, I can say with absolute certainty that the author's statement is entirely correct.
The best launch was N64 with Mario. Even though it was just one game it provided an entirely new gaming experience, with great graphics. If Wii U had an equivalent game, I'd own a Wii U right now. Sadly, Wii Us best launch games can be had on cheaper consoles that run them better.
I think Wii U launch line up is among the worst Nintendo has ever had. The only thing worse was Virtual Boys.
There's no killer app.
If Nintendo thought demand was so low that they should only release 40 thousand units, the Wii U launch in the UK would be a failure before it even started.
This game is just too much for my old consoles. I'll have to wait until I can afford building a gaming PC or next-gen (hopefully they port it) comes around.
Noticeable and prevalent screen tear is one thing I can't stomach in games.
Wii U is already lacking 3rd party support. Where's Far Cry 3, DMC, Dishonoured, GTA5 etc.
Thing is, nintendo consoles appeal to a different market of consumers - the one that love Nintendo games and don't care that much about visual fidelity, realistic physics, improving AI, huge game worlds.
Frankly Nintendo games aren't for everyone. With comparable power to the other next-gen consoles Wii U could have appealed to everyone as 3rd party games ...
Nintendo fans will buy a Wii U and love their nintendo games. I personally prefer 3rd party/MS/Sony games more than anything so I have no plans of buying one.
People telling happy Wii U owners that Wii U sucks may as well criticize people enjoying their McDonald's for not choosing Burger King.
Play the games you like on the systems that have them.
