The Wii U Pad and DS4 track pad would be great RTS games
If MS is going subsidized they should have gone all out on 720s power.
If I can get a $650 phone for $180, I wouldn't have minded a $1000 console for $300 with a 2-3 year cable subscription.
Make a decent game then talk. Guy has made a great game since PS2.
If 3.5 million doesn't earn a profit they've spent too much making the game.
It's a reboot that brought a dying franchise back to life, not a sequel to an already popular franchise. Also, they should be able to read the market, this gen is over and most current gen games, despite being great won't generate as much excitement and sales.
Given that the average game cost 20-60 million to make it follows that if publishers are getting only $15 a sale they'd need to sell 1.5-4 million to start profiting.
They probably get more than $15 per sale though.
So no video and only one general screenshot which may or may not be from the alleged demo.
What a lame post.
Can wait until they have widespread proper controller support for mobile games.
BF4 yes, but I need to see more of Shadow Falls first. Doesn't matter though, games are hitting their apex in terms of raw graphics due to game budget ceilings.
The biggest revolution in gaming now would be the development of a much cheaper way to make games.
That looks amazing.
He made the same game 3 times this gen and took no risks in either gameplay or narrative. Gears 1 was a big risk but after that, no risk were made.
Gears 3, loved the series but after being constantly unable to get into a game with number 2 and the horrible story in Gears 3, I no longer am interested in the series.
Probably should have made the 1 gig DDR3 for CPU tasks.
Sure if it came out two years ago. TR was great but it's way too late in the generation for all but a few games to generate those kind of sales.
Even if it "only" sold 3.5 million and Square got 20 bucks a game it still would have generated 70 million in revenues. How much could the game possible have cost when some of the biggest titles are made with 20-40 million.
R6 games were some of my fav FPS games this gen. They had more open environments and a better cover system than most games today.
Also loved the strategy element and how neither you or the enemies were bullet sponges. The only problem with it were the stories. Definitely made you afraid of getting shot at which almost all FPS games SP lack.
Can't wait.
All I know is that it seems MS is forcing everyone to buy a Kinect 2 with Xbox and likely offering less power as a trade.
I constantly debate going PC but buying console guarantees that in 5 years ill be playing games that a 5 year old PC couldnt without upgrading.
Also, it's unlikely that you'll be able to build a PC as powerful as PS4 for the same price if your"re like me and starting from scratch (Windows 7 alone cost 90 bucks). With a console you get the benefit of economies of scale and prices less than or equal to manufacturing costs.
Sony just need multiplats that look noticlbly better on PS4 than NextBox and solid online.
PC gamers are a different beast and not really in direct competition with consoles, especially considering that the majority of game sales each year are a few FPS games and EA sports games, the latter of which are barely even on PC.
Consoles determine when the true next-gen starts (in terms of games and engines) granted PC will look better, provided you can afford it. ...
MS is facing oblivion in the next 15 years if they can't capture a significant piece of the mobile/tablet market.
With all the mobile parts and low heat output it makes me Sony will release a PS4 tablet in within the next 7 years, which would be awesome paired with Android.
With all the processing effects, there's a big visual quality difference between what you see on YouTube and what you see in real life.
Even now, YouTube videos make the differences between PC and console seem minor but when you see the game in person, you're amazed at how much better it looks and I'm not even a PC gamer.
I trust that when you see PS4 games running in real life you'll appreciate that all the minor refinements produce a big g...
