Glad I cancelled my Xbox Live last December. I could have had 5 more games had I not been a fool paying to play online MP. When I think about it now, it seems idiotic.
Agreed.
I hope PS4 launches first. Only because I want it more.
I'm not that impressed with the graphics is either one. Where's the realism.
I'm at the point where I except everything MS does at presentations to be smoke and mirrors.
I can see One being very successful if cable companies actually use it as their cable box (or lease it for the monthly fee they charge for current cable boxes). Cable companies already charge $400 for DVRs so why not just use an Xbox instead.
Xbox has 99 problems and its name is One.
Apparently it's 3 gigs.
Sure sure, disregard that 3 gigs of inferior RAM is used to run programs in the background leaving 5 vs 7 and an inferior GPU, the "cloud" will make our games look better...I think.
It will be mostly Kinect and CG concepts for "planned" exclusives.
They went from Wii to phones/tablets/ browser games. The future of casuals is has already been decided. Why would they ever go back to consoles when their having equal fun with 99 cent games.
I think rumbling triggers are a great idea. Still very disappointed with Xbox one overall though.
Didn't they say that the last 2 E3s and then spent most of the show talking about Kinect.
I too live in the digital dark ages in Canada, which is one of the reasons I stopped paying for Live. Same price but half the features and all the content (movies, TV, dls, etc.) costs more.
There's no point in getting an Xbox one if the main selling point is multimedia features I can't use.
I see why 360 sold better in American only. For most if the world, may as well go for the console with better looking/running games.
If Xbox wanted to revolutionize TV it would have worked out a deal with all the networks that allowed people to watch any available show at any time for monthly fee, akin to Netflix but all encompassing. TV programming is stuck in the 70s, all XBox is doing is introducing a really cool Cable box and TV remote.
That one commenter was right, the xbox One looks more like MS is trying to compete with Apple and Google by beating them to punch with revolutionizing how we watch TV. But if they wanted to be the next amazing tech device, they should have put their money where there mouth is and compete better with Sony by going all in and making the console more powerful.
For a gamer, I'm getting the console with the better looking/running games. That Kinect hardware could have been s...
How much of Xbox's inferior gaming RAM will be used running TV, movies, Internet Explorer, and music in the background.
I would have much preferred if MS made Kinect optional and spent the manufacturing cost on making the console more powerful.
Xbox= superior TV watching (probably in USA only)
PS4 = superior looking/running games
I was really looking for MS to be a major contender but why sacrifice console power to include a Kinect in every box. All that fast switching is cool, but who aside from ADHD kids, who needs it in a game console.
It's clear Xbox division completely forgot who got them where they are now, neck and neck with Playstation - the people who looked past RROD because 360 had the best games at the time. It's hard to believe at one point 360 had the best exclusives and superi...
I loved my 360 this gen but I'm disappointed with MS's TV/multimedia focus. Sure that stuff looked pretty cool but I'm not interested in the worlds best cable box (especially knowing how MS prices TV shows, movies, and music higher than most).
I thought this reveal would bring me back more into the Xbox camp but all it did was push me more towards PS4. I'll take better looking/running games over novelty TV watching any day.
All it really...
People keep drinking MSs Kool-Aid.
With everything they do it's "Not now, but the future potential". They sell you on hope then never deliver.
