I was a borderline 360 fanboy but after years of getting it up the A by MS with broken consoles and pay to play online I'm done. Especially at $500 plus yearly $60 live subscriptions.
I thought at least they'd lower basic online to $30 per annum. I can't bring myself to pay the price of a brand new release AAA just to access part of a game I already paid full price for.

I don't care about anything Kinect does at all. I can already switch between TV and games in an instant, it called pressing one button on your TV remote. In fact, that's easier than anything Kinect will ever do.

It will probably be another sales tie like this gen. MS shareholders won this gen but PS3 gamers definitely came out on top.
The majority of my disappointment stems from the fact that it's less powered than PS4. I feel they sacrificed console power to include Kinect in every box. With a limited hardwar cost budget, it's obvious where sacrifices were made.
If X1 matched or exceeded PS4 in power I'd view it far more favourably.
Personally, 1080p isn't a huge deal for me, 60 FPS and higher detailed graphics is more important to me. As long as it looks sharp I'm happy.

There's no way I want an always on video camera that's connected to the internet at least ever 24 hrs in my living room.
