Software Sony can hold it's own and is likely superior (Uncharted 4 + Last of Us 2 + GT7 + GOW 4 vs. Halo and Forza)

Price is huge.
Make sure the OS is fast and smooth, online social communication vast and accessible and keep releasing some of the best original IPs in the industry like Last of Us , Heavy Rain, and Uncharted.

If I had to go digital I'd buy so few games because it would cost me $100 a game in bandwidth overage charges.

The article included the price of Plus in it's argument but not the price of Live.

So x1 actually did try and eliminate lending games completely then tried to tell us they were doing it to advance the industry.
If they don't want people to trade-in or lend games make it impossible selling more digital copies.
If you want to sell digital copies sell them cheaper than physical copies. Pass the savings on retail, manufacturing, and transportation to the consumer and change $45.

I got the impression that DF prefferred PS4s triggers but really like X1s trigger rumble feature.
Plus gives you free games the entire time you have your membership.
Live gives you free games until December then goes back to giving to nothing.
Uh, PS4 has far outsold One in pre-order numbers even after the removal of all the restrictions.
