MS and their partners once again putting the attention on memory bandwidth/free memory to distract everyone from the elephant in the room which is Xbone's much more inferior GPU.
Energy prices are already expensive enough without Microsoft getting involved.
No it wasn't, PS4 GPU is still and always has been the biggest difference, nearly 50% superior. Nobody on the Microsoft side want to talk about it though.
So a console originally designed to be fitted with a TOTAL of 4GB RAM needs 3.5GB just for the OS? call me skeptical.
What do you think Microsoft are going to say?
"we'll hand over anything they ask for without question"
"we'll be giving them direct access because the Patriot Act demands it"
They have to be seen to be against it else nobody would be stupid enough to buy the damn thing.
It was just sarcasm guys, Microsoft were saying the same kind of stuff about Surface a few months back and it has flopped hard.
Amazing, first Surface sells like hotcakes and now Xbone is breaking all pre-order records. MS are riding the crest of a wave.
"We're too busy working on x title" the games developer equivalent of "I'm washing my hair".
It is not even the pinnacle of motorsport anymore.
The cars are continually gimped, the tracks dumbed down with huge run offs everywhere, half of the drivers get their seat by paying and then cause accidents every other race. F1 drivers aren't even allowed to race and have overtaking aids for simple overtaking, spend 90% of the races driving slowly to save tyres/fuel.
F1 has become to motorsport what wrestling (the WWE kind) is to professional fighting, i...
How am I a conspiracy theorist when Microsoft conspiring with NSA PRISM is factually proven? as the old saying ignorance is bliss.
Will the photograph of your face be stored on the cloud or NSA servers?
That explains why it is so overpriced...
Who is suggesting they will drop it? Xbone fanboys? both PS1 & PS2 were supported for many years following the release of their successors. Which is more than can be said for the original Xbox.
It's probably more their cosy partnership with the NSA, I wonder how much government funding their living room spy programme is getting.
Any developer with an ounce of sense would delay the physical version of the game and launch digital only to begin with, there's obviously more to this than meets the eye.
Are all Xbone games going to be released 'unfinished' and needing to download day 1 'content' for it to work?
What's the real reason that the game needs to 'phone home' when you first buy it?
The blaming of piracy and used games has always been a ruse for the big AAA publishers to monopolise the industry, if either of those things hurt the industry it wouldn't have grown as big as it is today.
I am glad Sony is offering independent developers a platform to reach out to gamers because if it was up to the giant publishers they wouldn't be allowed to, not without surrending most of their profits at that is.
The same could ultimately be said about PS4 v Wii U, he's not saying that there's no difference just that other factors can overcome technical inferiority, MS have not got off to a good start however.
PS4 has far superior GPU so it's to be expected, but you may be more likely to see Xbone games running at 720P upscaled and PS4 native 1080P, if both run native 1080P then obviously the PS4 will perform better.
PS4 GPU is in a different to league to Xbone's, funny how no articles seem to talk about it. it's all memory memory memory... in a gaming device the GPU is the most important piece of hardware.
