Developers aren't going to boycott a console which sells the most games and looking at things so far that will be PS4.

Put it this way, if you are a developer and sell 10 games on PS4 and 1 game on Xbone, are you going to choose not to release your games on PS4 in the future just because you're not making any money on second hand sales?

I'd be surprised if they aren't forced to make changes before being released in the EU.

That cheeky grin he makes in the PS4 game sharing video still cracks me up.

Conservative to the extent that they continue to erode our consumer rights in order to maintain their monopoly, good on Sony for promoting indie developers and lets hope the big publishers don't buy them all out and drain them of all their creativity.

If developers/publishers are bankrupting themselving making AAA games with famous celebs doing voice acting etc then it's their responsiblity to cut back the budget to something sustainable, the reason people are in uproar is because they've instead chosen to attack the free market and take control over what consumers can and can't do.

It's rather ironic that this attack is coming from a US company and it's the Japanese standing up to defend free market pr...

Another laughable excuse, an i3 and low-mid range GPU could run a PS4/Xbone game.

This just goes to show that if you create a quality game you will be rewarded, there's no need to constantly screw over consumers.

"How is it different than pressing the input button on your TV remote to switch between the two?"

You can say "Xbox on" or whatever and impress the IRL friends you don't have.

Seeing as you no longer own the games in their eyes and only rent a license to play it why should they still allow you to play it when money is no longer coming in?

The difference is bigger storage was a necessity, nobody needs what MS is offering in fact reaction has shown that they largely despise it.

The motherboard looks like a P9X79 Pro/Deluxe as well (Intel Socket 2011), you'd think they have all AMD kit considering that's what in the console but they've clearly chosen the fastest parts available regardless of the cost to advertise Xbone.

Hopefully the EU will put the smackdown on game manufacturers pretending to be a service industry whilst maintaining physical ownership pricing models. If they want to be a service industry then it should be a small monthly fee only and free upgrades to the latest g...

They won't scale back because then developers might get ideas about self publishing or going somewhere cheaper, publishers are a parasite to the whole gaming industry... they rush developers, take a chunk of their profits and then try to rob consumers of their rights in order to stay relevant.

To be honest 4GB was probably sufficient with a bit of intelligence from developers, just look what has been done this generation with a fraction of that amount, lazy developers will always want more memory to make their lives easier though.

We should still praise Sony for putting developer demands before their own profit margin as they could have sold a 4GB PS4 at the same price point, there's simply no excuse for releasing poorly running games now.

Launch titles have never been all that thrilling, in my opinion 2013 is the PS3's year, some amazing games still coming out after all these years.

Common sense overload.

Microsoft drop their previous consoles like a lead balloon when the new one is on the horizon, Sony will continue to support PS3 for years to come.

PS3 has some amazing games releasing this year most of them being exclusives.
