@wannabe - MC needs RAM and storage.. Only the PC version for example has limitless world sizes and a long draw distance. The new console versions need to be closer to the PC version than the ps3 version.
Also, the fps on PS360 is awful in 4-way split screen.
I have it on PC, android, ios, 360 and PS3.. And i'm probably going to get it on vita and PS4 too - providing the ps4 version takes advantage of the better spec and isn't just a port of the previous gen version. :)
I think TLOU is the only game i played through and wanted to give the devs more money. If there'd been any justification for buying a second copy i would have.. I got the art book and comics instead..
Seems they came up with a justification for that second copy, haha. Day one.. Probably! I'll use this to see if they de-censor the EU version and import a US copy if it's still cut.

He didn't even really say it was a big competitive advantage or anything. It is definitely a big win compared to not having it at all, nor having any other pool of fast memory.
The PS4's design doesn't need it, which makes sense. I can see what MS were trying to do but it doesn't really excuse the level of the non-custom elements of the architecture. A big pool of fast ram + a better spec would be pretty badass, but the x1 has neither.
You can always use more.. But compared to last gen we're doing really well.
it'll do fine, but not as a games console. As a nice Prime/Netflix/Plex box with a sideline in occasional gaming
The streaming box market is getting a bit out of control.. At least there's a lot of different choices for different people and uses.
I'd be pretty torn between this Amazon thingy, chromecast, appleTV and Roku. It must be a bit confusing to the average non-techy consumer.

Uplay offers ubi a multi-platform achievement and unlock system they use in all their ps4 /X1 games (and recent ps3/360 ones). They're not going to leave the PC version off of UPlay while keeping the other platforms connected, that makes no sense at all.
One of the best shows of all time. Makes almost everything else look amateur in comparison.

As for suggesting the X1 is trying new things.. Most of the new things it's doing are nothing to do with gaming? (except possibly the cloud, but it's not exactly doing much with that atm!) Meanwhile Sony included everything they possibly could have in the DS4.
