If TLOU isn't a masterpiece then what modern game is?
Awww.. I have too many games to keep up on mine.
Works well for vita, no reason to think it won't for shield too.. Eurogamer even said it works a bit better I think.
Lag isnt that much of a problem, i played quite a bit of infamous and AC4 away from home on the vita.. Its great for mopping up open world busywork stuff you dont care about having on your home cinema setup.
Mentioning lag - i use the vita as a fourth controller for my ps4 for rayman and towerfall, nobody using it has mentioned lag, and it&...
.. Most of the PS4 indie games have been decidedly hardcore so far.. Don't Starve, Outlast, Towerfall, Dead Nation.. Which of the PS4 indie games would you consider casual focused?
Octodad maybe but that's not out yet..
Depends on which version of the store you use, but for Vita games, you can just press download on the PS3.. I have all the PS+ vita titles since it launched available even though i only got a vita a few weeks ago. :)
Foundededed. Agreed, who approved that?!
What about all of the other factors than graphics? the PS2 is worlds away from the PS3 and PS4 in terms of functionality. Saying you have new tech for the graphics is bizarre.. That's just one facet of what's better.
Nobody would be rocking a PS2 in this day and age because it's obsolete and has no online MP anymore, and doesn't do any of the stuff a console is expected to nowadays.
Graphics are just one of many things that gets better with new hardware. It's the most easily "measured" - but AI, loading reductions, bigger maps, more MP options, more assets in memory at once, better options for sound engineers, 2nd screen stuff..
Graphics are certainly important but they're only a tiny portion of what's on offer with new hardware. The other stuff is potentially more important from a gameplay perspective.
Well, there kind of would be.. Graphics are just one of many things that gets better with new hardware. It's the most easily "measured" - but AI, loading reductions, bigger maps, more MP options, more assets in memory at once, better options for sound engineers, 2nd screen stuff..

SOTN in 1080 wouldn't look any different, lol. XD
(which will no doubt get me disagrees, but it's true!)
I don't know why but i reallllly enjoy War Thunder.. Ive not really enjoyed the other f2p games yet..
Looking forward to Planetside though.. Even more so if they ever add Morpheus support. :O
I hope Sony can get the price down enough but still sell the headset at a profit.
It would only take a couple of good Morpheus games for me to consider it worth it, or one really good one. People need to stop thinking about it so much like PS:Move or the Wii balance board. VR offers a whole load of experiences, not just alternate input methods.
.. They should totally bring back PS:Home with a graphical bump and Morpheus support.
What's your definition of VR then? The rest of the world has been using stereoscopic vision as the main point with motion tracking as the second.
It absolutely is VR. Big difference to what?
Sometimes i wish one bubblers could be given temp bubbles to explain their crazy thought processes.
"VR works less well than 3D does" .. Well, that's blatantly false! Good job!
I'm veering towards Sony's headset.
They haven't said if they'll support PC with it, but even if they don't you can almost guarantee 3rd party support/OR emulation on PC within a year of release.
On the other hand there's not likely to be any way to get OR working on PS4, so if you plan on playing VR on both you have a better chance with the Sony thing.
So many games use Unreal tech.. Batman series, bioshock etc.. You can't "eww" Unreal engine, it's proven itself by now.
Why do we need to see it in action personally when the web has been alight with peoples experiences with the Oculus Rift for over a year? Most of the people with an interest in VR know exactly what it's like to use (conceptually) by this stage.. Ive watched tons of VR lets plays, read a crapload of journalists explaining their hands on time with Rift, and spoken to people with the devkits.
I usually play to relax, other times i want to be as immersed as possible. Horror g...
And Elder Scrolls Online.. :)
Most MMOs have a bit of a GUI problem when it comes to VR though, im looking forward to one being designed with VR in mind so there are 10million little floating UI elements taking you out of the game.
VR is about as far from casual targeted as you can get. Its hardly ideal for family settings is it? "Ignore daddy he's off in some other world. Try not to get in the way of his flailing arms, he has no idea whats happening around him."
Im sure there will be interesting dual screen functionality but the main target for VR is definitely hardcore gamers and tech/future nuts.
@Summons75 Move is definitely working fine on PS4 already.. Just Dance 2014 supports it.
If they release a PS4 version the only likely difference will be swapping out the mini-usb for micro-usb.
Media Molecule demo'd their PS4 prototype on the Move. Move isn't going anywhere and it's how Morpheus tracks hand movements!
