All that shimmering from the aliasing is distracting. I definitely hated that on the PS3 version of BF3.

Can someone fill me in on who he is?

Yeah they messed something up

Sigh... I don't know why I feed the trolls.

You are trying to argue what "looks" better, but from a factual outlook the PS4 is more powerful.

Come on, why is it hard to understand 900p draws 44% more pixels than 720p?

4508d ago 4 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yes let's completely base the entire conversation on the back of one guy's head.

4508d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Actually some of you guys can argue "how it looks" all day from a final visual perspective, and I will respect that opinion.

But what is 100% true and FACTUAL based on this comparison, is that indeed it confirms what we all knew from the get-go, THE PS4 IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE XBOX ONE.

The simple fact that it draws almost 50% more pixels on screen, has a feature completely absent from the Xbox which is HBAO (which taxes the hardware more if you ...

Other than resolution, the Xbone version is missing clouds (Yes clouds, lol), Ambient Occlusion, and looks to have a weird amount of sharpen.

IMO it still looks pretty decent and is still playable. But man that's pretty disappointing a $500 system can barely hit the same resolution as the outgoing system. A cheap $90 graphics card and low-end PC can run circles around it at 720p resolution.

Yup

XB1 = 1280x720p = 921,600 pixels
PS4 = 1600x900p = 1,440,000 pixels

46% more pixels on the PS4 version.

Although I do give credit that the XBone version still looks pretty good given its lower resolution.

"All in all, we can only give a preliminary outline of how Battlefield 4 will run on next-gen consoles, but there's plenty here that should remain the case for the final release in November. Perhaps the biggest takeaway is that, in this near-finalised state, the PS4 offers a superior experience on several fronts. The resolution is higher at 1600x900, as compared to the tried and tested 1280x720 on Xbox One, suffering as it does for more visible aliasing artefacts. Visually, the PS4 h...

Nope it's 1080p/60fps, at least the MP is.

Some of you guys need to get your eyes checked.

There's a clear difference although the core game is the same.

I just drank 5 litres of bleach and feel great.

After I watched that video, I puked all the bleach out.

Umm no.

Although I didn't play through Arkham City, I'm enjoying Arkham Origins very much.

"I don't care if it requires an entire data center to run it looks last gen in terms of graphics."

Bwahahahaha agreed

Those required specs are ridiculous. Everything I have seen up to this point looks the f'in same as its always been.

Even BF4 which to me looks like BF3.5 has some graphical improvements.

4508d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I wholeheartedly agree.

That and you aren't going to get games on the PC from Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

I'm doing what I did last generation. Play most multiplat games on the PC, and buy mostly PS4 exclusives.

I "may" get a Xbone in the future depending on what kind of other games out.

Anybody with any tiny itty bitty miniscule bit of knowledge on the games industry knows that based on the entire year since the PS4 has been announced combined with the constant barrage of negative news and image of the Xbone one ANNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDD the $100 cheaper price point on the PS4, pre-order numbers from all the retailers, praise from both developers and consumers on the PS4 hardware, ALLLLLLLLL points to the PS4 outselling the Xbone...

I agree. I like AMD and their fair pricing, and a lot of their hardware is generally pretty good. But they are very behind when it comes to driver support.

Not really, it's more like a bug fix.

Well everything is about GPU compute now and less about CPU. The transition from the entire hardware and software industry has been moving that direction for years in the PC gaming market.

So it's natural the new consoles are moving in that direction.

And to put it simply why the PS4 would be easy to develop for, is that they have that 5-8GB of GDDR5 RAM just like how modern day GPUs have at least 1GB-3GB. So there's that giant pool of easy to access ...
