It would've been cool if the child was one of the snakes, and that's what i first thought after reading 8-4's description, but in the PAX presentation they clearly state that it's Chico.

There's also some theories that Ground Zeroes will take place in South Africa-- if that's the case, that's another potential British connection (even though South Africa became a republic in 61, it wouldn't be a stretch to have England still pulling the strings in the MGS universe). My MGS history is a bit rusty, but I know Liquid was with the SAS for a while.

I was gonna watch this, but the thought of listening to greg miller talk is just too much right now.

I think the child in the cutscene was liquid. 8-4 mentioned that the child is blonde, and assuming this takes place somewhere around 1978-1984 (based on big boss' lack of gray hair and the appearance of a Walkman in the scene), liquid would be the perfect age to fit the description. Some think it's raiden, but raiden would've been a baby at that point, if he'd even been born yet. So I personally think we'll encounter solid and liquid, but not witness their creation. I defi...

I seen that MSF logo. To be honest I was hoping for something with a younger solid, but I'm so fucking pumped for this it doesn't even matter.

Heh, what if it sent you back to GTA 3's liberty city

@dumahim

and thus, Bethesda's sloppy handling of the Fallout lore. Aliens were never supposed to be anything more than an easter egg, found in a special encounter in Fallout 2. By that logic, star trek, dr who, and hitchhikers guide to the galaxy all take place in the fallout universe. Even the wanamingos in fallout 2 were FEV-engineered bioweapons. http://fallout.wikia.com/wi...

I know this was a show before it was a manga or anything else, but I'd love to see a Cowboy Bebop game. Not the arcade-y PS1 game that came out, I'm talking a full blown action/RPG where you take contracts and side-contracts and openly travel the solar system between different hub worlds.

I understand the skepticism, but keep in mind that AC3 runs on a completely different engine from Future Soldier, so that doesn't exactly mean anything. The past AC games have run fine on my rigs, so I'm optimistic about this.

I still think Texas would make a great setting. Cassidy had some interesting throwaway lines in Fallout 2 about radioactive cyclones. If it has to be based on a single city, I think Denver sounds awesome.. fighting against or supporting a Legion that has spread itself too thin to actively control the scraps of the city..

@pixelsword

Buy the PS3 version, and you get a free download of the vita version. It's only for first-party titles, at least so far, and the only ones that they've officially announced it for thus far are PS All Stars, the new Ratchet, and Sly 4.

I heard that the "metro" screen is essentially the new start menu, but I haven't used 8 myself, so don't take my word for it. I think Gabes issue with 8 has little to do with the interface, it's that the architecture is much more closed off than ever before, to the point where people have likened it to iOS.

I definitely understand that. Articles like this only serve to blow this issue even further out of proportion, and no matter how you slice it, it's irresponsible journalism.

Well put, I was astounded at the backlash as well. I mean seriously, this was almost 250 years ago, and people can't handle a work of fiction based on this? Especially when the US and UK are very close allies today? Of course an article like this doesn't help, it's only adding fuel to the fire. I'm not one to bash a news source and completely discredit them based on past work, but kotaku has been pissing me off with this kind of stuff lately. I used to respect them, too.

I can't quite tell which parts of this post are sarcasm, but hey, at least catholic law forbid people from being born into slavery. Remember, the puritans were so uptight that the British kicked them out. Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for the freedoms I'm given as an American citizen (even if it feels like they're shrinking, regardless of which crappy party is in charge), but our country was founded by a bunch of religious zealots who abused the concept of "Go...

Yeah, I'm out hope, but I'm not holding breath. I lost faith in EA a long time ago.

I'd love to see some footage, but this really sounds phenomenal. I really hope they go with cross-buy. That would make me buy it on PS3 over PC, even though it's a frostbite 2 game and I'm dying to see it maxed out on my rig.

I highly doubt he's working on a Silent Hill game. But whoever's making the next SH is probably using the Fox engine.
