I agree. They have this awesome control scheme for RE4 on Wii, which long-term fans of the series are calling the best RE control scheme ever, and all they do is make light-gun games? I was done with those on PS1. Use the Wii's "revolutionary" controls and actually do something new. They cant even make the RE and RE0 remakes in the RE4 control scheme? Just tweak the gameplay and enemies to it balances out with the RE4 scheme? Now that'd be worth buying.
This really is bullsh!t. They could at least sell the game at $55 and then charge $5 more for things that are expected to be included in a multiplayer game. I'd love to pay $5 less for the lack of inclusion of crap I'm never gonna use.
I actually considered trying this out when I thought it was free, but now that it costs money they can forget about it.
I understand the desire not to break things down annually, but the period of time they seem to be covering here isn't really fair. Too many games came out between 2007 and now for there to be a fair determination of a concrete winner. Kind of like pluralistic victory vs majority rule.

Just know that the PS3 demo was a build or two behind the 360 demo when they were released. I played both to death too, and the 360 was drastically better, especially in split-screen co-op. This seems to be fixed, though, as the two versions look very very similar in this comparison.

Keep in mind that Dark Athena is nothing but an extension of the Butcher Bay experience. If you read interviews, the devs are very adamant about making sure people know that it's not a sequel, it's a remake and extension of the original. Mah yes. I always thought Rapture was closer to the US, but I'm sure I missed something, digging through those audio journals got tiring after a while.
I'm pretty sure that cross is where Rapture was supposed to be. I think Atlantis is supposed to be in the north Atlantic, anyway, like if you were to draw a line between Nova Scotia and the UK it was supposed to be somewhere along there. I could be wrong, I mean it's a mythical continent , but I really feel that the X is supposed to mark Rapture.

Left 4 Dead has impressively low graphics reqs. Also, gaming PC's are most definitely NOT as expensive as everyone thinks (or Dell/Alienware's pricetags make them think). I bought my 360 for $400 (back when it cost that much) and my gaming PC for $400 a year later (though that didn't include a monitor as I already had one.. then again, you don't factor in an HDTV to a console's price). Fallout 3 and Orange Box are both on PS3. And since we're only talking about the 360 in this article and not Microsoft in general, you can't exactly factor in games that have come out / are coming out for Windows as well (Mass Effect 1 and 2, Gears 1, Left 4 Dead, Braid, Geometry Wars, Fallout 3 DLC, Alan Wake).
Not trying to knock on the 360, the same goes for PS3/PC games as well (DC Universe Online, The Agency).
I'm going to pretend that this is a disguise to check the GOW3 hype so that it ends up defying our expectations.
Then again, GOW3 could be GOW2HD and I'd be thrilled. And obviously, from the trailer and the previews and the interviews, it's a LOT more than GOW2HD, so no worries there. Even with the little they've told us so far, the gap from 2 to 3 seems to be exponentially larger than the gap from 1 to 2, and it seems to fit the transition to the new system.

I gamefly'd Star Ocean 4, and I've been excruciatingly painfully trying to make it through. If a game comes out on a console AND pc, it's not exclusive to anything. Not trying to take sides here, but if a PS3 owner also has a PC, they have access to most of the games that the 360 has and the PS3 does not (a crappy port of Gears of War 1, Left 4 Dead, an AMAZING port of Mass Effect, and Bioshock at first). What I have to give PS3 credit for over the 360 is that you can ONLY get their best exclusives on the PS3.

my roommate used to hook his guitar hero controller up to his computer for some hardcore HCI action. no real advantage to it though, but it's still possible to write your own computer music with guitar hero controllers. maybe THAT'S what they're doing?
If it really is about Raiden in Area 51, they really had better not end the title with ".. Solid 5." Solid Snake's story is over.
Also I'd really be surprised if the next Metal Gear was exclusive to anything, especially in this economy.
