I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish that BOTH consoles had an option to turn off notifications. It really ruins the immersion when you're trying to just enjoy the experience.
That said, having both a 360 and a PS3, I don't give a flying fudge about achievements. Yet, for some reason, I LOVE getting trophies. I really don't know what it is. When I bought my 360 a few years ago, I was somehow under the impression that your gamerpoints were used to buy arcade games. So, I thought that the mor...
We've known there was going to be a Fallout MMO since the day Bethesda made the deal with Interplay.
Still, I'd actually give a Fallout MMO a chance, especially if they've got some Fallout 1/2 people on staff. But single-player Fallout will always be better.
I really think they just wanted an excuse to jack up the price. Frankly, since the DS and DS lite have been out so long, I think it's complete bull that they didn't release the DSi at the 130 price point. But they've managed to convince millions to drop $250 for what was patented as a gamecube add-on that they made exclusive to a new console for easier bundling/marketing. Seriously though, if I'm going to drop $170 on a Nintendo handheld, I may as well just buy a Wii for $80 more. Not tha...
Of course it's better on PC. Games ALWAYS look better on PC when they're developed for it from the ground up. Ports are different, though many console-to-PC ports are better on PC anyway (Mass Effect, por ejemplo)
I never think Sony's moves like this are significant, worthwhile or effective. Then someone from MS makes a sassy comment and I start thinking that Sony's baby-steps are bigger than they appear.
cmon new ips
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Downloading Operation Anchorage took me about an hour and a half because I had to surf through forums to figure out how to obtain it LEGALLY. You need Windows for contemporary PC games anyway, why are they trying to c0ckblock digital distribution with a tremendously broken system? At least release a client that could have a remote chance in hell of competing with Steam.
Surprise! War's no fun when it's real.
I just really want some games for my 360. I rented Gears 2 and it was awful, and I really have no interest in Fable 2 until it's around $20. I'm actually kind of glad Resi 5 ended up looking better on 360 as it gave me an excuse to get it for 360. I haven't bought a 360 game in like a year and a half. Their exclusives just aren't good anymore. I'm sick of them peddling Gears and Halo to me, they're terrible, I want some NEW exclusives. And I mean actual exclusives, not 360/PC exclusives...
nyahahahaha, capcom.
Remember when Japan gave iPhones out for free because they're so crappy?
Why does our tech suck in this country? Our internet's crazy slow, and Japan has had 3G networks since 2001. Rabble robble rabble
I agree. PC version is ALWAYS better, unless it's a port from console, in which case it's USUALLY better, but not always (like Gears of War, for instance). The Halo 1 port was a pretty good port from what I remember, but the gameplay felt archaic next to the plethora of PC shooters it borrowed from.
But yeah, I always feel that there's hardly ever a reason to get a game on a console over a PC when they're made at the same time. The PC version will always look better, and even ...
Bioshock 2 was confirmed for PS3, PC and 360.
PC ftw. I wish they would ACTUALLY tell us something about this game.
Anyone else worried? They still have to crank out a third one before the console cycle is up, and they really had their hearts set on doing the whole trilogy on 360. I'm starting to doubt that the 360 will be MS's console in 2013, especially since they keep losing exclusives (like this) to PC and/or PS3. They're probably going to try to jump-start the next console cycle again.
But, we'll see. ...
Aside from the DLC thing (which is bullshit on Capcom's part) and the racism thing (which is bullshit on EVERYONE'S part), I think it's getting a lot of bad press because it didn't really innovate. Yeah, co-op stirred up the Resident Evil formula, but the gaming press (including the myriad of commenters who read and post) is so thirsty for innovation that it tends to overlook the most crucial factor: is the game fun?
Call it archaic, backwards, whatever.. but is it fun? Hell yes. It'...
I highly recommend this. It's better than streaming because the PS3 actually makes video look better, I've always seen the noise reduction options make a pretty noticeable difference.
I stream as well though, and Winamp has actually provided me the simplest solution. I could never get Tversity or any of that to work, and I downloaded Winamp which came with Winamp Remote, a program that lets you log in and stream your audio/video to any computer (or PS3 or Wii or 360) as long as...
Oh man, I would TOTALLY use this if you could map the left and right triggers to L1 and R1, where the 'trigger' buttons are supposed to be on PS3. I really don't like the 360's controller and the dualshock is just absolutely perfect for me. Actually I'd probably use my 360 more if I could use the Dualshock, I've been buying multiplats (even graphically sub-par ones) on my PS3 because the controls are so much better for me. I think this is a great idea, as there seems to be a pretty even sp...
I'd still like to know what they're doing to make each player feel like they're unique and making a difference on a massive scale. Obviously the universe can't progress based on every player's individual decisions, so I'd like to know how they'll make player choice feel important and relevant without being like "okay, I know you switched to the light side and decided to help the Republic, but right now the Sith are going to randomly take over X part of the universe." Obviously the...
Or if you have custom firmware, it's already available to you.. FREE.
I remember seeing Patapon 2 up there a loooong time ago, I don't really know why the whole localization thing takes so long. I can't believe it's not even out in the states yet.
It's amazing how much better service you get for any game on PC when it costs nothing. What threw me off about Gears 2 is how much worse it is than the 1st. I never even considered the multiplayer when I rented it. At least Gears 1 had an even flow to it that made the gameplay appeal to me on a casual level, I actually considered the multiplayer for it (but it wasn't enough to make me buy Live). Still, for an online gaming community where each member pays $40-50 a year for the service, th...
