Anyone know why they didn't have it ready on the 3DS when the Wii U came out?
I like the idea, I just don't like Nintendos history of getting things done in a timely fashion.
It's still nice to see good scores coming in.
Having options is usually a good thing. The problem is unless those options are supported well they never get fully exploited.
When you have a system like the Wii U it needs to be successful for 3rd party publishers to take chances on its different features. Games like ZombieU were made for the hardware so those games will benefit most. Porting old games and adding a couple of new features isn't going to really do the hardware justice.
It's all about ...
Being linear suits some games and it doesn't in others. I like more free-roaming games because I like to take my time and explore but there are several games with a linear style that works very well like The Walking Dead.

PorkChop, I own the game as well. It does not run at a steady 60fps. The point is DMC is very playable at 30fps because it is a steady 30fps.

I haven't seen ...
This game looks really good, love the art style.
"Oh yeah...well 30 fps is better then 60fps anyway"
Then play it on the PC, problem solved. Why is it that fans of Gran Turimso allowed more flexibility towards Gran Tursimo 5 when it didn't run at a solid 60fps? Previous games did but GT5 at times ran even below 30fps. You know why they forgot or forgave them? Because it was a darn good game anyways and the game didn't suffer from not having a steady 60fps.
Is going from 60 to 30 a valid co...
badz149,
So bluray on the PS3 meant you didn't have to install games? Interesting. Funny how you can buy full PS3 games off of the store like Infamous just like you can from other places like Steam with no need for any physical disc. You're right, bluray is definitely needed.
As Logic and dedicatedtogamers have alluded to it is the social aspect Microsoft got right. Xbox Live got people into the social realm of gaming on consoles. It was also wise of them to include a headset with each system. I imagine social gaming with voice chat is way more popular in the U.S. than it is in Japan and the best support for Xbox Live and other applications stems from the U.S. territory.
Microsoft also aligned itself with the bigger franchises more like Call Of Du...
What does the Wii U use?
I could see Microsoft not supporting bluray and perhaps doing something different. They may see it as a weakness to now support bluray since they sided with HD DVD and never did offer a a bluray player attachment.
PC games still don't use bluray. Microsoft's biggest mistake was not having a hard drive in every system, it wasn't because they didn't support bluray.
“There are many things on the internet that are more interesting when viewed together. Watching videos, shopping, trip planning, and the Street View Google Map service [which will begin on Wii U] this month, in January. This way, if it’s an enjoyable experience, for people who don’t have any interest in games in the family, rather than something that’s a hassle to have, the Wii U can become something that they have a connection with.”
Then why was Nintendo the most resistive ...
What the PS3 can do and what it does are at times two different stories. The consumer cares about the end product, not specs. alone.
They both have their own appeal. It takes more effort to get into PC gaming. Console gaming is made easy and has more marketing. There's also a lot more games that can be played on the PC than any console.
You can simply do a lot more with PC gaming but the money spent is more towards console gaming because it's more mainstream.
"Because its made in America....and most nations Support their brands "
Really? Is that why the PS2 had way more market share than the Xbox? Is that why Honda and Toyota do so poorly in the U.S.? How well does Ford and Chevy do in Japan? How many Xbox 360's have sold in Japan? Now ask yourself this, what is the ratio of Wii's and PS3's of the overall console base in Japan compared to the U.S.? Now ask yourself this, what is the ratio of Xbox 360's so...
ZombieNinjaPanda, so since you don't like Logicwins opinion he should now stop gaming? No wonder people don't take you radicals seriously. You guys want everyone to respect your opinions but are unwilling to do the same towards anyone else that may like the new game.
Perhaps it is you, who wants to keep living in the past and can't seem to let go, that should give up gaming. Do you own the intellectual property? No you don't. If the movie studios want to reboo...
This is a good review. I always like Sessler and it seems to me they are going for a younger crowd with this one. I'm sure those who played the originals are older now so this reboot might not be up their alley.
It's always nice to compare a bunch of reviews and get a better idea.
I can't wait to see next gen racing games like Forza and Gran Turismo.
Not many games have an average of 9/10. Nice to see the new year have a good start.
zerocrossing, maybe you should be taking your own advice;

This is the last response I will send your way regarding DMC. It is virtually impossible for me to keep up with you since you're determined to make sure you're heard about how you feel. I am not saying the game is bad or good either way until I try it.

I don't like the words used in the topic outline. It makes it seem like Nintendo won't be making any hardware. They are just merging divisions.
