Short answer yes, long answer is still waiting for set release dates on games. I am still going to hold off getting a Wii U for now until the library builds and more improvements to the online are made. But this did peak my interest more.
Just imagine the response here on N4G if this game was announced for the PS3 and was partnered with Sony. You would have a totally different reaction. Same with if this game was partnered with Microsoft, again you would have a totally different reaction.
People often align the game with the system when it is the game that should be the main focus. So what ends up happening is you have people who have different levels of expectations to win them over.
Isn't this more about hidden gems that sometimes get ignored by the bigger games and those with more marketing?
I'm hoping the next systems from both Microsoft and Sony do a better job at curbing bad behavior online while rewarding good behavior.
The Mayan calendar is now taking a more conservative approach.
Kinect will never replace a gym but what it can do is get kids (and adults) active, that's the point. You could easily have a mat on the ground and some free weights and use Kinect as a trainer. People do this now with DVD's and such. So if they can utilize videogames that kids love and somehow intertwine it with getting people active what's so bad about that?
Kinect could also help people use proper form. By seeing yourself onscreen you can tell if you are doing...
First off they need to get rid of the point system.
This is about who's the better explorer, not who you like more or which series you like better. I like Nathan Drake's character more but Lara is definitely more of an explorer. The Uncharted series is much more linear, and that isn't a bad thing.
I often wonder if people are more likely to choose an exclusive title over a multiplat no matter what the context is.
If Sony can continue to fine-tune its service while keeping the core element free they will definitely have the upper hand. If Microsoft continues to gel the ability to play online with all the other services to force gamers to pay then they will continue to face an uphill battle. With the Steambox coming out and Nintendo improving its situation and Sony making online a priority Microsoft will look like the odd man out. It's not like 2002 anymore where the competition was severely lacking...
"Jesus, gamers need to stop being so cynical and give consoles more than two months to prove itself."
Well as you can see it all depends on which team you're on. We have seen doom articles on Vita and it's not even been a year yet, I say give it a chance. Same with the Wii U. What is interesting though is how people will advocate for the Vita to be successful but won't for the Wii U or vice-versa.
You will always have your armchair crit...
Eyeco, I am not suggesting all games need to be on multiple platforms. I am merely adding to the topic and would want to see this game do well. Would it sell better if it came out on the Wii U and Xbox 360? Possibly, but it sure wouldn't sell less would it?
The game Ico was also released on the most successful system of all time. There was less of an argument to be made to release it on other platforms. The Gamecube and Xbox were not nearly as widespread as the current Xb...
From the article
"Ni no Kuni is also releasing as a Playstation 3 exclusive, which is why I’m sure there was the Ninostarter Campaign in North America, the most popular territory of the Xbox 360, in order to entice people to invest in the Wizards Edition of Ni no Kuni and generate more interest for the game."
Odd how people keep disagreeing with my other comment when I was just elaborating on the article and how to make sure the game isn't forgotten. I g...
If they don't want the game to be forgotten they need to do two things for it to gain popularity.
1. Market the game well.
2. Put the game on other platforms aside from the PS3.
2 disagrees already, interesting.
Comments on various forums should be taken with a grain of salt. What matters most is how much people enjoy the devices they buy. I don't pay much attention to the media or the current rumors. It's interesting to read but I will wait until real facts come out before I make any judgements.
You already see people aligning themselves with certain systems that we know nothing about.
Why is it flamebait when PC gaming can be superior? Most games on any console is made up of multiplat games and we all know the PC is capable of running those games smoother and in a higher resolution. You also have games that allow more players in online matches. The PC also holds the largest library of games available to play.
Of course not everything is preferable otherwise everyone would be playing games on it instead. Consoles have their own exclusives, ease of use, unif...
Some good deals. Definitely getting The Unfinished Swan.
The DS is not a PS3 and DS owners would like to be able to play the game. It's already on the DS but only in Japan, that's the problem.
"I don't get it. Why don't they just not buy it? Why punish the people who ARE interested in the game? "
That would make too much sense, that's why. People feel entitled and one thing everyone needs to take into context is those who frequent forums and chatrooms are some of the more diehard fanatics. Some feel this is the only way of being heard and what ends up happening is a small and very vocal group ends up drawing the most attention.
Tomb Raider should be reviewed on its own merits since it's a reboot. This isn't Devil May Cry 5, it's a reboot.
If DMC sells 100,000 copies or 10,000,000 copies you will have a select few calling it a failure no matter what. Go play the other 4 games, nobody is forcing you to buy this one. They could have ended it with DMC4 but they chose to go a new direction with it. Nobody here owns the intellectual property, they can do with it as they wish. It's not like...
What's interesting to me is those who support Sony will continue to defend them no matter what and those who don't support Sony will attack them no matter what.
This was a learning curve for Sony but more importantly a huge wake-up call for everyone else. These attacks are growing and it was actually a blessing in disguise for Sony because it meant they had to tighten their security measures.
