PS4 = Shark Fin Soup
Xbox 360 = Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
Wii U = Ichiban Noodles
@thezeldadoth,
That is pretty accurate. Steam provides a better service overall.
People on here should react the same way if Amazon, Steam or better yet if this was the Xbox 360 that made this error. That way you know the community is sound and fair and unbiased.
The right thing to do would be to correct the mistake and honor those who paid for the pre-order price.
@zeal0us,
"Regardless its good to see that MS is listening to the feedback."
It is good and they know they have a lot of hard work ahead of them after the controversy over some of the things they wanted to implement and the fact Sony undercut them by $100.
What people should take note of on the forums are those who are offering constructive criticism and destructive criticisms. Two vastly different viewpoints. One wants the Xbox One to be th...
Well you have 4 categories. One is those who buy multiple systems so they enjoy what each has to offer. Then you have the gamer who is a bit more casual and might just buy one or two systems because of time so it's not really about money. Third you have those who don't have a lot of money, for games anyway, so they pick and choose what interest them most. Lastly you have the loyalist, the one who will support one system way more than the others and validate their decision on a daily b...
So now that they showed new games and new ip's some people are still grasping at Kinect only games? Weird. I guess that shows right there some people were never interested in the first place which begs the question, why go out of your way and post in Xbox topics then other than to troll and be a fanboy?
Microsoft said E3 would be all about games, many thought differently and continued the theatrics on how they are no longer concerned about games. E3 was all about games. N...
@Root,
"Maybe it's because they think it isn't good, ever thought about that. Of course not because to you Septic everyone who hates something you like are bitter."
It's about context. If you ask a Xbox fanboy who hate everything about Sony they are unlikely to give an honest opinion about great games like Gran Turismo. The same will be said of Sony fanboys and games that are not coming to the Playstation. On top of that if a member is on here an...
"Hating the PS4 seems rather silly and disingenuous at this point, and hating the Wii-U elicits very little response, so guess where the hate is going to aim? Microsoft. Maybe down the road Microsoft will be able to reverse fortunes on the Xbox One, but for now...I present to you the new media hate-magnet, the Xbox One."
Lol, sounds very mature.
It's amazing how much time people spend talking about products they have no interest in supporting. W...
@DragonKnight,
"The 360 is more of a gaming console than the Xbox One right now. And that's pretty sad."
Sad for who, you? The same person who continued to trash the Xbox 360? Most people would have simply moved on, started talking about things they are interested instead of meddling with Xbox fans on daily basis telling everyone what trash game systems Microsoft releases. You know who does that? Trolls and fanboys.
We've already wi...
@DragonKnight,
"The difference between God of War QTEs and Ryse QTEs is night and day. God of War used them for ending a fight, or moving along sequences in a boss fight. Ryse used them for almost every single hit in a regular grunt fight. That's pathetic."
So you've played Ryse? How is it?
"On Topic: Of course the one with the weaker position in terms of tech is going to say "specs might not tell the whole story." The...
Yup. Too many chiefs all running around. I suggest people keep barking at them when they do something stupid like this.
"To kick off that program I'd like to share just two of the titles that we're going to offer over the next few months...Assassin's Creed 2, and Halo 3"
Even though it says the next few months it still says to kick off the program. Meaning starting with those two games. It's very simply for them to fix this, release...
Not sure where he gets his facts. Perhaps The Official Playstation Magazine or The National Enquirer. A few weeks ago he said the Xbox One would not support used games even though it did before the DRM was dropped. Does anyone know why he still insist in frequenting Xbox One topics?
The original Xbox lost Microsoft quite a bit of money, the Xbox 360 made money.

"Does it trouble anyone else that he mentiones game-related aspects of Xbox (Xbox Live and Xbox Games) only twice in that entire paragraph?"
Sure if that is your focus and want to keep the theatrics going on how bad the Xbox brand is. Not sure why that would concern anyone who already said repeatedly they aren't going to support the Xbox One anyways. For the rest of us it means the Xbox One will do more than just games but games will still be it's primary se...
Even the iPod took longer to gain traction in Japan. Sony's MP3 player was still outselling the iPod in Japan while the rest of the world jumped on the bandwagon.
As far as gaming devices go good luck trying to compete with Nintendo or Sony over there.
I imagine PES sales dominate in Japan compared to FIFA sales even though the rest of the world favors FIFA now. Same with Forza and Gran Turimso.
What is interesting is countries outside of...
"I wonder why you post? Your comments are so frequently non-comments; just a few words that add nothing to any parts of the debate, be it the initial article or whatever comments you deign to respond to. It's kinda annoying."
1. Gaikai streaming
2. Game rentals
3. Mod support
4. Game sharing
5. Digital trades/selling
6. What will happen with Playstation Home?

@MysticStrummer,
It did get quite a bit of support early on but consumers wanted rumble instead. What was good is that everyone got to experience it. Kinect is integrated with the hardware and can be applied to more than just games.
@solidjun5
Bluray still isn't even used in PC games is it? Microsoft didn't include it back then or HD DVD because of cost issues. Sony pushed it more to win the format war and to push HDTV's.

@Mr_Nuts,
I agree. I thought it was a very relaxed interview and it's nice seeing people who are the face of big corporations be so down to Earth. He's seen the ups and downs and knows how much work goes into all of this.
Really? Even though they forced bluray which ended up costing consumers up to $600 to have? They also didn't even push the 20GB model and ended up dropping it very quickly since they wanted wi-fi in every system. $600 for a game console back in 2006 is more than $600 in todays value, let alone $500 which is what the Xbox One will be.
Yes, we know the Kinect camera definitely raises the cost but having in with each unit means the device will actually be supported. The Game...
This has been in talks for months. Some want to relate this to all the Xbox One controversy but I doubt that was the reason.
We see people leave all the time like Phil Harrison from Sony. Nintendo needs to restructure itself too and Kaz Hirai seems to be doing a good job so far turning Sony around.
Don was a nice guy but wasn't a very good PR guy for the Xbox. Marc Whitten, Nancy Tellem, Yusuf Mehdi, Phil Harrison or Phil Spencer could be the replacement....
@DragonKnight,
"I love how the Sony haters come out in force just because one person states that the opinion of another person is that person's own opinion alone. Lol. Look at the disagrees for stating a fact."
Sony haters? No, Steam provides a very good service with its community. People who use it know it. Just because some think Steam is the best doesn't translate into everyone all of the sudden being a hater. That's not how things work in the...
