I couldnt agree more. What, why, and how another gamer plays does not effect me. So who cares? Im proud to label myself a gamer, simply for the fact that i love video games. I grew up playing them, and i shall grow old playing them.

This is brought up as if the so-called “original” ideas wouldve made the same amount of money as Pikmin and Super Mario Galaxy.
I love how this “information” surfaces now, after all of the success of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Super Mario Galaxy was released in 2007, and i have never heard this rumor before.
And of course, Pikmin is mentioned too. The same Pikmin that Nintendo confirmed to be released at the WiiU launch 2012.

The author references Pikmin (released in 2001) and Super Mario Galaxy (released in 2007). Super Mario Bros. 2 was released in 1988.
Are you seriously calling out Nintendo's track record between 1988 - 2007? Nintendo innovated more than any of its competitors in that time frame. They also invented the the shoulder buttons (SNES), analog stick (N64), and motion gaming in that time...
I read this rumor 2 days ago. Yes, you pretty much have to assume that it is false. It contradicts everything that 3rd party developers have said about the WiiU.

Perhaps, but in all fairness, i dont remember Nintendo ever revealing an upcoming console's specs 6 mos. to 1 year before launch. They usually dont release specs at all, and we have to find out at launch.
But, what you say is true. Nintendo and first party developers could clear up a lot of this confusion. We've heard 3rd party developer's early praise of the WiiU...

Believe it or not, i have never heard anything about the 3D health concern. Definitely delaying that 3DS purchase until i get more info.

This is really exciting. Animal Crossing sounds nice, but, Pokemon is what i am hoping for. Nintendo could do so much with a popular RPG like Pokemon on the home console.

Talk is talk. The only people you need to be getting your WiiU news from is Nintendo. They havent said that they are limiting the WiiU to 1 controller. That was just some "booth worker" at E3. Im guessing a low-level rep.

Love Nintendo, but, serves them right. They barely advertised for both Conduit 1 &2. Maybe this will give them something to think about before the WiiU release... something other than dollar signs.
