@Machioto
True, and fair enough, I have no idea what the specs are. I do, however, think that a downscaled UE4 is the most logical course of action... unless you want to spend $800 -$1,000 on a console?
Agreed, but we both know that the 360 is not the only guilty party. I also think that this more of a "fact of life", rather than a huge problem.
The economy is bad, so don't expect too many risky endeavors by 3rd party devs. We see the same thing happening in the film industry. A fruitful product will get "milked" more than ever.
Also, consumers know what they are getting when they purchase a sequel. I said that I would buy Xenoblade C...
Do you read the articles, skim through them, or just make things up?
--- Epic Games' senior PR manager Dana Cowley added that, "beyond the PC, we haven't confirmed any other platforms for Unreal Engine 4."
PS4 and Nextbox aren't confirmed to run UE4 either! UE4 wasn't made "supremely scalable" just because of Nintendo. Smart phones, and you're precious PS4/Nextbox will probably be using the same downscaled versions.
@remanutd55
"Amazing" is a relative term, and "exclusive" is not. I chose the latter because I have no idea what your definition of amazing is.
I am not wrong. I thought that SOME of those titles were indeed amazing.
It wouldn't matter if the WiiU was from 5,000 years in the future, it's never mentioned in the article!
Both PS3 and 360 are tagged and they are not next gen consoles, but are infact mentioned in the article.
Are we learning yet?
Agreed.
I do, however, think that the Wii was unique on more than one level.
-motion controls
-backwards compatibilty (Gamecube and Virtual Console)
-massive casual support
Perhaps these don't fit your definition of amazing, but here are your exclusives:
1. ZombiU
2. Rayman Legends
3. Project P-100
4. New Super Mario Bros. U
5. Pikmin 3
6. Nintendo Land
So... we have at least 6 exclusives for the launch window. I take it you were expecting at least 7?
WiiU is never mentioned in this article.
So... was there any purpose for adding the WiiU tag, besides trying to piss people off?
Running all the way to the bank.
1. Getting Epona for the time in Zelda, Ocarina of Time.
2. 96* in Super Mario World
3. Playing as Link in Soul Calibur 2
The only game that you will be playing with your wife is fetch.
A Troll Bridge is cheaper.

*looks at comments above*
I wonder who those 2 disagrees came from?
Who the hell wouldn't want a beautiful, video game playing wife?
Wow... I guess we know what kind of seed you are.
Your reading comprehension skill is awful. I hope that you are able to understand this response. I'll type slowly...
"Miiverse seems very intriguing and some of the features are a very good fit for Trine 2: Director’s Cut. Our goal is to provide one of the best online multiplayer experiences for Wii U users."
He mentions both Miiverse and online multiplayer!
Another group of people keep forgetting that Frozenbyte has experience with both Xbox Live and PSN.
You don't have to agree with this, but acknowledge the fact that it was said for a reason. Nobody had to say this, but somebody did (and no... not to sell a game that will be available on all 3 consoles!).
This was said because Frozenbyte believes it to be true *gasp*.
An actually developer said this?
...let's not listen (again).
Agreed.
The standard, and arcade controllers are ideal for the fighting genre. Even Nintendo avoided motion controls for Smash Bros. Brawl.
I would not mind if some developers did eventually take this "risk", but I would hate for Harada to get bashed for this statement.
Yes...
Imo the ONLY thing that will hurt this game is the 6 units per squad. If fans of the original game can get passed the smaller squad sizes, then they'll be in for a treat.
Great read! It would be a real shame if this didn't get approved here.
I read this article on Zeldainformer yesterday, and was going over my timeline chart for hours afterwards.
If you care so much about graphics then why don't you game on PC?
