Do you usually pre-order holiday gifts during the summer? I sure don't.
If you really have been a Nintendo fan since the NES days then this is nothing new to you. Nintendo always keeps new consoles quiet for as long as they can.
I disagree.
Nintendo is helping themselves by learning from the 3DS launch. They want to keep the price as reasonable as possible. If it takes a little time, so what?
I would rather have a great price announced in September (Tokyo Game Show), than an awful price announced today.
---"No price, no release date, no dice."
...just laughable really.
1. We know that the WiiU is coming out this year.
Perhaps you can help me...
Does your name mean "Canada Rocks" (meaning Canada is awesome), or Canada "Rocks" (meaning the Crack rocks you smoked before you making such a stupid statement)?
Nice read.
Gotta love him.
At last, some common ground. I couldn't agree more Mike.
Not really, we only bring up sales to piss off Sony fanboys. Everytime we make somebody say that "sales don't matter", a Nintendo fanboy gets his wings.
It's funny how sales never matter... when your console of choice isn't selling.
Nice read.
Nice list, however, I am surprised not to see any first party games (or was that the point?).
Lmao
I was just thiking the same thing! Perhaps the extra "s" in the title was meant to be "/s".
Perhaps... but this is also good sign. At the very least, this shows that Namco is getting more comfortable with the Gamepad, and wants to use it. They might have something very special cooked up, who knows for sure?
Namco is differentiating the WiiU game, so Nintendo fans won't be getting another "lazy port". It all comes down to providing another reason to buy the WiiU version, which is a good thing.
If you cannot get the exclusive, then why...
@Patriots_Pride
Imo it was a few years earlier than 2006, but fair enough.
I admit that I know next to nothing about the PS4 and 720, but I am willing to bet my "savings and investments" that both will be priced higher than the WiiU. So imo, Nintendo isn't the company to be worried about in this disgraceful economy.
Just do me a favor Patriots_Pride, remember your statement about pricing the next time some Sony fanboy starts ran...
Nice read, and mark me down for Juggernaut.
As for "the core" moving to PC gaming, I made that move years ago. Sure... the Dolphin emulator is nice for single player games, but to truly experience those multiplayer "gems", you need a Nintendo console.
As if the economy was good when PS3 and 360 came out.
Lmao
I think that you meant, "Why DO people think it's "eccetera"?".
@Stephen5543
Agreed. Imo Nintendo's E3 press conference was awful. If you happened to be on N4G that evening, I was calling for Mr. Iwata to step down. I was pissed.
Are sure about WiiFit though? I thought that Nintendo was simply showcasing that the Balance Board is compatible with the WiiU. Furthermore, I remember WiiFit being unveiled in the Nintendo Direct conference, not E3.
That being said, I don't see a pattern with the WiiU. A...
It's a new idea, and these things take time. Imo Ubisoft has done well, so we know that it is possible to make the 2nd screen useful.
I am sure that the same was said about the analog stick on the N64. For the analog stick, it only took the right games and a little time to spark 3rd party imagination.
You are entitled to your opinion, and that's fine. Oh and for $600, I would like to think that you did play some truly amazing games. I hope that your next gen investment will have backwards compatibility (I'll keep my fingers crossed lol). Talk about "hoping" and "praying".
How can you possibly argue that Nintendo is not in the driver's seat for next gen? Last time I checked, they were the only car on the road. Sony and Microsoft haven't e...
How was Midna useless?
It is impossible to kill Shadow Beast, and Ganondorf's Beast-form without Midna. Midna's character was also absolutely crucial to the story. She is, after all, the Twilight Princess.
Sure, the PS4 and 720 are on their way... to being announced. I doubt that Sony and Microsoft will announce and release at the same time.
Lastly, I got news for you...
The people that are already bashing the WiiU, probably won't be buying one at launch (call it a hunch). Shocking isn't it?
