If you actually played Zelda 2, or read the article, then you would know that it is the ONLY RPG in the series!
-Random encounters
-XP
-Freedom to choose how Link levels up
It's not BS, it is a fact.
Wow... Nice read.
All of that Zelda theory gave me goosebumps.
Nice read.
I am currently replaying Twilight Princess right now, and I could not agree more about Midna.
Nice read.
In the words of Bret "The Hitman" Hart:
"The best there is...
The best there was...
And the best there ever will be!".
---"Nintendo fans should not be thrilled about the "do not care" comment from Iwata because competition is what makes this industry what it is. Ignoring it or cowering away from it will only damage a product."
Wow... "cowering away", really? Indifference is cowardice all of a sudden?
Iwata said the exact same thing about the Wii, not being in competition with the PS360. I fail to see how that later "damaged" the Wii pro...
Break the locks?
Agreed, I did miss your point. I think that I know what you are trying to say, but it doesn't make much sense to me.
You write 3 long post about graphics, and yet they aren't the most important element to you? Hmmm, puzzling to say the least. That alone will give some one the wrong idea.
More puzzling is how you can criticize somebody for "downplaying graphics". You just said that graphics are not the most important element in a game! Infact...
So... you don't think graphics are important, right? Lmao, sorry couldn't resist. You made your point very well, graphics are important.
Here is the thing neutralgamer19, I don't think that there is anyone out there that HATES graphics. It is only a question of how important graphics are.
Imo it is simply a matter of taste, and nothing more.
-Do you always purchase the best graphical versions of multiplat games (PC version of cour...
It wasn't?
Oh, my mistake. I must have awoken in an alternate universe this morning. I come in peace.
In this reality the 360 must have outsold the Wii (even in Japan), despite the Wii's 1 year head start. Later, the Wii copied the 360's motion control interface to gain casual support.
I guess that your 1 Bubble is also a sign of greatness in this universe. Sorry to have offended you, oh wise one.
You make a good point about the cell processor. I agree, there will not be anything that "alien" in the WiiU hardware.
That being said, we don't know any of the detailed specs yet. Infact, I find it bold of you claim that 3rd party devs are "very very" familiar with WiiU tech. I recently read a Harada interview (Namco-Bandai) in which he stated minor CPU issues. We don't even know how many different dev kits this man has seen!
I do...
Rightfully so since the game will be based off of the Marvel Comic series.
I look at graphics like a pretty teenage actress. She is new, looks greats, and everyone adores her. All of the other girls want to look just like her etc..
...And then, time passes. She is still attractive and still the exact same great person inside, but she is no longer the prettiest and youngest girl in the room. She is now old by comparison.
If she had talent all along (story and gameplay), then fans will reserve a special place for her in their hearts. ...
Just like the Wii wasn't a threat to the 360, right?
@Samus HD
Didn't see your comment, Bubble Up+
Nice read.
I think that the Retro Studios mystery game has to be 1 of the 2 big titles. I am definitely loving the 3rd party support, but I hope that the second big title is a first party game like: F-Zero, StarFox, Metroid, or dare I say Zelda HD.
...oh ...multiplats you say??? ... well that's ok too *grinds teeth*!!!
@Dlacy13g
Fair enough, and I have been called much worse as well.
I do, however, think it is a bit "amateur" of you to bash the writer when all you have read is the title of his article.
Agreed.
The Wii sold quite well in the UK, so why change anything? Hell they got Pandora's Tower, and the rest of the Op Rainfall games long before the US (Pandora's Tower still m.i.a.).
It's a "gamer thing", so you wouldn't understand.
The source said: ‘The challenge for the chosen agency will be keeping the existing Wii platform commercially viable as well as evoking excitement and anticipation in consumers and the industry for the Wii U launch.’
The WiiU plays Wii games, and is rumored to have Gamecube games available for download. With no new software, and the loss of Gamecube BC, keeping the the Wii commercially viable will be nothing short of miraculous after the WiiU launches.
@Patriots_Pride
Agreed, and excellent points. I just got irritated because the author never argues that the Zelda series, as a whole, is an RPG series.
The point of the article was that heavy RPG elements from Zelda 2 were completely abandoned. The author only challenges the proverbial "black sheep" label, and ponders what the series would be like if RPG elements were kept intact.
The "BS shoe" definitely does not fit here...
