Riiight, it’s on the devs to do more work to sell less units per your less-adopted platform.
Xbox needs dual system support to increase potential Game Pass adoption…. But where is the incentive for the devs to “plan ahead” for the series S?
Fallout 4 wasn’t the next Fallout 3…
I will certainly dust off my XsX for it, but don’t call it Skyrim yet.
Just because Xbox needs a 10/10 to justify the existence of the Series X’s after 3 years, doesn’t mean Starfield should be expected to be a 10/10.
It’s not fair to Starfield to feel entitled to it to be THAT good. It can fall short of that, and still be a game worthy of praise.
People will always buy a system to play great games.
Xbox will run out of brand loyalty eventually.
If Xbox decides to start competing with AAA games, then good.
We’re waiting.
I think they wanna make money for there half a decade of work…
And, tbh, they did everyone a favor not locking the coolest costumes in the deluxe edition.
Like, none of them are must haves for me.
Did you watch it all?
Like, literally watch ONE more minute…
And at 14:00 he starts addressing bottlenecks limiting the SSD…
You responded as if you thought the ps4 charts were ps5 charts ;)
You wouldn’t play that? They never made MAG 2…
What DID they make…
Play, don’t pay.
“How?”: Mark Cerny, architect of the ps4 and ps5: https://youtu.be/ph8LyNIT9s...
I mean, you first?
I know they both do 60, but one seems to lock it down tighter…. And I didn’t say Starfield couldn’t do 60, I’m just implying that the ps5 could do it better (and that maybe the devs would then wanna allow it).
The devs mentioned pop in as an issue if they went 60…. Isn’t SSD speed a key bottleneck for pop-in and a character’s max speed? And look what Spider-Man 2 happens to do phenomenally: character speed and virtually ZERO pop-in wit...
Factions is getting an update in 2023, and likely dropping in 2024.
And if it doesn’t drop in 2024, then I’m sure Sony will deliver something else.
I’ve waited on Xbox plenty as a gamer… I haven’t had to tolerate a game drought from Sony; not at least since Uncharted 2.
Can’t the PS5’s 130% faster SSD help out its CPU?
Maybe this is an Xbox limitation…
Is it though? What game on the XsX proves that?
Every multiplat game I’ve checked myself runs better on ps5…
What seems to be more significant, a 12% GPU advantage, or a 130% SSD speed advantage? Before you answer, keep in mind that the ps5 SSD has been heavily modified to be more than just a fast storage space…. It is so fast that it can help out the CPU: https://youtu.be/ph8LyNIT9s...
….well, what have you been up to since Halo and Gears peaked?
Tell it to Phil.
It seems like an effort to make it easy for peolple to group up, regardless of personal progress.
Less “lazy” and more most efficient solution.
It would be nice if it was just an option, but I think people that start together will have nothing to complain about, right?
Hey Mark, you seem like a sharp guy…. Could I borrow $500 if I promise to pay you back in 3-5 years?
It pains us that it wasn’t MADE for Xbox, just bought for it…
Maybe if it was a true 1st party game, and made from the ground-up for a specific hardware system, then maybe it would’ve been optimized for 60 fps ;)
I’ll manage to let Spider-Man 2 and Factions to soothe my pain… have fun waiting for 4 rpgs to release between now and 2025, Xbots…. Sounds like a riveting portfolio to commit to.
Too bad M$ paid to stop the ps5 version from being developed…. Because now we can’t know for sure that the ps5 could pull off 60 fps ;)
Try not to pivot from the smartest enemies ever to zombies.
