Ending quote: “Of course, Microsoft still has to prove it can deliver where it matters most: The games. The company has built up an impressive stable of developers under its Xbox Games Studio umbrella, but it’ll need exclusive titles on the level of a God of War, The Last of Us or Spider-Man to truly give the PS5 a run for its money. But thanks to its superior hardware, services and feature set, the Xbox Series X is in the best possible position to do just that.”
At least h...
I’ve never had an issue with downloading a game file onto my PS4, or ps3. The cloud is leveraged for steaming to mobile devices.... it’s use does not overlap with the uses of a disc drive AT ALL.
If you have a One X like mine, which has one of the best 4K Blu-ray drives available, and is whisper quiet when playing Blu-ray movies, then you are going to pounce on the digital only edition. Who needs two 4K Blu-ray players?
Yep, they are not going to take this cow out to pasture until it stops laying golden eggs...
IMO, Cyberpunk’s next gen remaster will include an online component to get some of that sweet record-breaking shark card cash flow, and that will be what pressures Rockstar to release a new game (GTA6).
FPP or bust.... fuck periscopers
I think they bought insomniac games after spider-man 1 became the biggest selling exclusive for PS4 worldwide... hence why I think they pushed them to make a launch Spider-Man for the PS5’s launch
Didn’t the PS2 destroy the OG Xbox in terms of console sales, but Ubisoft still committed to making each Splinter Cell game have noticeably better graphics on the Xbox version?
I think games will run on PS5 great, no matter the developer. And I’m expecting the PS5 exclusives to be more impressive than Gears/Halo 6.
Well, the XsX certainly won’t have any cutting edge games AT ALL for at least two years, since they are dual supporting the X well into the XsX life cycle
Pretty expensive for 2tbs
It’s about assessing the value of BC.... most ppl don’t value it as high as Microsoft wants them to. Hence, PS5
Unless you only have one TV with only one hdmi input, then you’ll be fine.... just don’t trade in your PS4 for like $50, keep it
The difference is that the PS5 will absolutely have great brand new games to play at launch.... the XsX will not support any games that my current console can’t handle for TWO FULL YEARS.
Hence, PS5 consumers are not worried about less BC support. They aleadu said they’ll support 4000 games at launch for BC, including most of the 100 most played PS4 games.
Sounds like more than enough PS4 BC for me
Neither is offering “both” as much as the other.... hence the discussion
Trying to sell a $500 console without a single exclusive for 2 full years is anti-consumer. The Xbone was also anti-comsumer, because it never delivered on its promises (just hit the reset button hard with a first-ever mid-gen console upgrade)
Ask XsX that... if they had new games in the pipeline to launch with, then they wouldn’t have invested in BC.... it was the cheapest/fastest way to grow the Xbone library. BC is stressed because M$ needs it to be valued. BC has never been used as a way to sell a $500 console done before, hence the PR.
Watch 13 on Netflix. America was the 2nd to last country in the world to outlaw slavery, and there is evidence for it today in our police, judicial, and prison systems.
Racism is baked into our society in unique ways.
Next Gen Consoles: the battle for M$ to perpetually avoid the fact that the XsX STILL does not have a system-selling exclusive
Nobody NEEDS the BC precedence like Microsoft does.
“Playstation continues to invest in their strong stable of AAA studios, Xbox reactively buys up studios last minute for the next gen and spends money on PR to inflate the value of BC for the first 2 years of the XsX lifecycle.”
Xbox’s won’t because they aren’t entering the next gen, just polishing the last 3 gens into 4K for some reason
Looking at Last of Us 2, I think we all know that we’re hitting a ceiling with character models. This gen got to the “diminishing returns” point.
Now it’s about running all of these details at a grander scale.
