Exactly. Game Pass is their money maker, but they need potential subscribers first. And, people were not blown away by Halo Infinite.
I enjoyed a lot of those parts too, but did anything compel you to buy an XsX at launch?
What did you enjoy about it? More importantly, what examples of gameplay
compelled you to buy an XsX?
If it got any darker, then they’d be unsupportable by 3rd party devs.
Halo Infinite should’ve happened 7-8 years ago.
You saw gameplay for 2 of those 6 titles
Ffs the game is less than 6 months from launch, and you can’t show legitimate XsX gameplay to show off the hardware for launch?
I knew Xbox was in danger relying so heavily on a tired IP, but now they look dead in the water
Well, I guess dual-gen development of a game DOES in fact hold back the visuals of a game.... they should’ve just cut their losses with the Xbone, or made the One X the base platform moving forward.
Sony Studios look like they are full-on eclipsing Xbox Studios, with Sony’s last gen exclusives looking better than Xbox’s next gen flagship title (ie Last of Us 2 on a 2013 base PS4 is more stunning than Halo Infinite running on a modern super PC)
It looks like a last gen remaster because it IS one
It’s a great value for kids and my dad.... most gamers have the budget to just buy the games they want at they rate they play then... they don’t cross their fingers hoping a game will become available on their $15/month semi-random subscription
But who will sell more consoles, and consequently invest more in their first party line up?
I wanted to believe Halo was returning, but M$ doesn’t seem too confident in it considering how lil they’ve shown off of it
Not surprised... I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed an open world game, but this one might be my fav ever
Don’t get confused with the terms “console launch exclusives” and “launch titles”. One is launching with the XsX whenever it launches, and the other is also coming to PS5 after a year or so.
Clearly they are not choosing to wait to make their first party line up support both gens for the next two years.... instead, their studios are just not ready to show off games for the XsX, they need a few mores years to develop.
As sure as I am that I’m getting a PS5, I’m happy to see Psychonauts 2 and Stalker 2 see the light of day, and I’m relieved that I won’t need an XsX to play either
Today was a good day for gaming, even if it wasn’t the grand slam...
It’s only 6 months away from launch, I’m sure this isn’t indicative of larger shortcomings
Half Life and Valve have no history with Xbox besides the Orange Box port, which went to PS3 as well.
I don’t think M$ can afford to stop Valve from exclusively selling their most anticipated game ever and exclusively on their platform (Steam).
The games on this list at least have some justification for inclusion (like Ninja Gaiden, the original really shined on the OG Xbox). Half Life 3 is as good of a prediction as, say, wondering if a Crysis 4 was gon...
They’ve been dropping the ball since ODST.
It’s worth full price, they polished it in alotta unique ways.... it might be the best open world “world”
I’d pay for an upgrade if they clearly have a worked on it a lot. It’s one thing if they just upped the resolution and frame rates, but I’d expect that they would also:
1) add ray tracing
2) add new game +
3) create some sort of PvP dual system (no matter how light on content, would be very cool)
4) improve draw distances
5) add Japanese lip syncing
I’d personally be happy to pay $30 for such a package, assuming that it was lik...
They were supposed to cost more starting with PS3/X360, but they went the DLC route instead.... what does data have to do with anything?
