Sorry, guys. This is what happens when you try typing and eating General Tso's chicken at the same time. :-D
they open at 11, but handed out numbers at 10. Anyone not in line by then, was out of luck. They had 48 to sell. Nobody already in line got turned away, but there were a lot of late comers who were pretty pissed off because they got there at quarter to 11 thinking they were going to be first in line when they opened. A nice girl and her boyfriend showed up around 8 and told everyone they had just come from Target and they had already handed out their numbers by the time they got there. I think...
that people resort to stunts like this to get a game console. I just camped out last night to get a Wii and was first in line when they handed out the numbers in the morning. She could have gone late to work and waited in line for one instead of taking such a risk, but the radio personalities were warned, even pleaded with, by listeners on the air not to do this because it was dangerous, and they did not even do any resaearch to check whether the listeners concerns had any sort of foundation. ...
I dare you
and I just bought a Wii, too. I want Mario!!
has 30% penetration on 360 right now, imagine what it is going to be this time next year. I can't see people losing interest in GoW for a long time. It's going to be like the first Halo. Everyone is still going to be playing it 5 years from now even with sequels being released.
are the ones who use all caps, can't spell or punctuate, swear every other word and resort to personal attacks whenever someone tries to present factual evidence to them. Also annoying are the ones who have 10 different accounts and post the same annoying crap from all 10 of them and the ones who make up their own news if they can't find anything positive to say about their own system or find a legitimate gripe against the competition in the real media. The guys who run around with the attit...
Maybe this is the direction Rare should go with the Joanna Dark character.
the automobile was invented in Germany. This guy needs to get his facts straight before he ever puts pen to paper and writes another rubbish article like this.
"While the graphics are gorgeous, one problem is poor frame rates that cause the action to slow down whenever there are a lot of planes or tanks onscreen at the same time."
So much for the power of Cell.
is going out of business. Wait a little longer and the prices will drop even more.
What the hell kind of drugs are you on?? Japan is Sony's base of power, not Europe. Sony routinely screws over Europe with late launches, high prices and product shortages. You don't build a loyal customer base under those conditions.
you guys from the UK better get down to HMV and do your pre-orders because they will likely get the largest number of consoles.
they can't possibly lower the price or start throwing in freebies to stimulate sales on a machine they are already losing $300 on. The games division has already made their forecast for the first year sales of PS3 and have gotten all the money that has been budgeted to them. That is how life in the business world works. If they start including premiums with every PS3 sold, they would exceed their budget and some other division of Sony would have to suffer to pay for it. When you have your fin...
Sony projected losses of 1.8 billion for their games division in the first year of PS3s life cycle alone. If it takes 3 years before Sony can cut their costs on PS3, you have over 5 billion in losses already. That is why Microsoft lost so much. PS2 was able to control pricing and MS had to drop their prices to stay equal to PS2 before they were ready.
I was very happy with WIN98SE. I thought everything after that was superfluous. ME made some nice changes for handling multimedia functions, but it wasn't a huge jump over 98SE. I would be happy to still be running ME today if it was still supported.
would be better to import the 240V version from Hong Kong or import one from America/Japan and buy a generic 240V power cable from Pissy(PC)World.
are a bunch of extortionists who send strong arm men around to shake you down for your license fee. My ex didn't even own a TV and the TVL people kept sending her threatening letters ordering her to pay up. If you don't own a TV, you don't have to pay. The law says anyone who owns television receiving equipment, they can't make you pay if they can't prove you have a TV on the premises and there is an exemption for people who use TV's to watch pre-recorded films or play video games. You can't ...
I have seen this RUMOR elsewhere, as well, and anything third party, not just component cables, that ruins your system voids your warranty with Sony. Try getting your info from more than one source.
it doesn't have any religious meaning for them, it is just a consumer holiday, but they go broke over the holidays just like we do. Handheld gaming is a lot cheaper and more convenient for people on the go. Consoles will pick up again once people have more money to spend.
