that anyone buying games on ebay really cares if it came from a Nintendo factory or not?? If people can get a $40 game for $10, they'll buy it and only complain if it doesn't work. That's what Paypal protection is for.

trying to get one. At least half the people in line when I got mine were women in their 30's and 40's.

Sony originally planned a February launch for PS3, so the dev kits were out there well in advance. With all the delays, developers had an additional 9 months to polish the PS3 launch games and they failed to do so in any meaningful way. Most of the launch games are ports of 360 titles and don't look better than their 360 versions. RFOM is the only original title from the launch lineup, and GoW is similar in concept and execution so 360 owners aren't really missing anything there, but PS3 does...

The PS3 has almost no games now and it ISN'T selling as Blu Ray player, a photo viewer or any of the other things you mentioned.

if they are building a respectable software and games industry there.

I wondered when actors vanity was going to rear it's ugly head. I noticed when watching King Kong on HD-DVD, that you could see literally every pore and line on Naomi Watts face during the close-ups. Make-up artistry and digital touching up is going to have to evolve to keep up the stars glamorous image in the advent of high definition viewing.

how many copies did they have available for launch day?? If they had more than about 600,000 it means they sold some hardware to go with those games.

why are the physics so fragged up in this game?? The girls jiggle in ways they shouldn't now. It's like each breast has a mind of it's own. It's kind of disgusting the way they move sometimes. I won't be getting this one until it ends up in the $10 or less used game racks.

is that if he develops for 360, he will get world class support from Microsoft and also get easier access to the Games for Windows market because of all the cross development tools MS provides. So Sony may have the largest base of console gamers, but they still don't outnumber the number of PC's out there. Kojima would rake in tons of cash even if he never made another game for Sony ever again.

don't do a straight up conversion of USA or Japan prices to get the UK price. The UK price is going to be a whole lot more than 315 pounds. It was originally announced to be 425 pounds and now there is a rumor that it is going to be even more than that.

that Sony could end up delaying the European any more, they will find a way to do it.

and Nintendo is not taking a loss on it's hardware, either. Nintendo can finish third and not care because they still profit massively. I say keep watching Nintendo. They are building a warchest and when Microsoft and Sony are weak from knocking the sh1t out of each other, they are going to jump in with the most ass kicking system ever made and take both of them out.

Microsoft hasn't done any price cuts. The retail prices of 299.99 and 399.99 are the same as they were from launch. If you are seeing them for less anywhere, then it is the retailers that are setting those prices, not Microsoft.

The Best Buy near my house had a huge pile of 360's stacked up from the time of the PS3 and Wii launches. They easily had 100 or more stacked up in various places around the store. When I went to get my Wii, they didn't have very many 360 at all. 360 are selling even though Microsoft isn't having the production and distribution issues that are dogging Wii right now. PS3 stocks are building up everywhere near me, though. Every time I go shopping I am able to count more PS3 boxes on shelves tha...

The thing was they didn;t adequately research the effects of drinking too much water and did not have any medical people standing by to give assistance to those who became ill. They also had the callous attitude that because they signed waivers they didn't have to care if someone died. I camped out this past weekend and got a Wii at Best Buy. This woman could have gone late to work one day and done the same instead doing something insane like putting her life at risk. You can try to say it wa...

is that Sony already gives lower prices to the Japanese market than elsewhere. If retailers are slashing prices now, too, it could be a sign that they are getting out of stocking PS3 at least in the shorter term. For a retailer to stock just 50 units of PS3 consoles is a substantial outlay of capital that could be put towards Wii merchandise that they know is going to sell as soon as it hits the shelves. That is what I think is happening. Retailers adjusting their inventory to cater to the la...
